Dreams Cancun - Questions for those married here!

Recommended Posts

Hey Girls,

Does anyone know if you can use your own speakers for the ceremony?

We were planning on taking an IPOD and our own little speakers and askin my brother to play the songs etc....is this possible??

We have the dj for the evening, so it is just for the ceremony.

Thanks

J x

When I asked for the dance floor, she said she could not provide anything that they did not own (I think Mannia actually owns the dance floor)in exchange. She told me that technically, the photography/videography cost is way less than it actually is when it is in the package, because you are getting so much for so little. I thought that was a lousy exchange, so I decided to use the credit toward an an extra hour of video and bring my own photographer. So now I have two hours (which most girls tell me he will shoot for with the ultimate package anyway, so I am going to see if I can get him longer without paying when I get there (I'll leave the WC and Miguel-Michael both nice tips first :-D).

Starfish bride, when did you receive that offer? It looks like you just joined here a few months ago. I was told this when I first started planning a few months ago. If she told you yes and me no, I am going to sick my TA on her! So far my TA has gotten me my site visit and my corrected contract (Claudia got my reception times wrong slighty) when Claudia was taking months to reply.

Oh, and I will be there in June. In case the Terrace is done by then, I'll take pics! I'll take a whole slew of pics as long as my camera holds!

Hi ladies...i was wondering if anyone can answer a question i have. I wanted to know if it's possible to have a trash your dress with Juan Navarro if you don't use him for the wedding. I am bringing my own photographer from home and was just wondering if this is possible to have that with Juan at no extra cost? I have the ultimate package so if i am not mistaken it's included..right? Thanks in advance!

Hi everyone! I'll be getting married at Dreams Cancun on 14 Feb next year and have placed my deposit down for the wedding. My question is, when should I expect to hear from the wedding coordinator or when should I start contacting them? Thanks a lot! Im sorry ahead of time since Im sure I'll have more questions to come! love.gif

Yes! I'm doing the same, Cecilia said it was no problem to have Juan come by on a different day for my TTD instead. You only get him for an hour or so, this is what's included as free in the package.

For non-urgent questions, it can take up to 5weeks. For urgent questions, like reserving the date, it should take less than 2 weeks, and if you haven't heard back, try calling them. Since your wedding is next year, you're probably not on the top of her to do list, there are about 5-10 weddings a week in the spring/summertime!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
