I'm writing my review right now but I figured I'd reassure everyone that the gazebo is done. It was finished when we left on Friday-they were finishing putting some last paint touches on it. Good news is the 6 of us who had our weddings this past week weren't affected. Some of us got finished dome gazebos while the others had open air gazebos. I got the open air gazebo and absolutely loved it!.

Congrats Liz! I probably should've checked on here before bombarding you with questions in my email, haha - I'd love any tips/ advice on a Jewish ceremony - & these pics look amazing!

I've been searching this thread and have read many comments about how windy the gazebo can be, but I haven't found my specific question answered yet. It seems that most had their ceremony in the afternoon around 4pm or so. Any Dreams brides out there have their ceremony earlier? We are planning on a noon ceremony in the gazebo, and from what we remember when we vactioned there 2 years ago, the wind definitely was more noticeable in the afternoon/evening compared to the morning and early afternoon. Can anybody share your experience if your ceremony was earlier in the day?

sorry debbie, i was always at the swim up bar around noon, lol! actually, i think i spent my whole week there ...

anyway, from what i remember it seemed to always be windy at the gazebo, except for the day i got married. seemed like a blessing (i was able to wear my hair half down and wear a veil too), but it was ungodly hot without a breeze!

rudebaga, although our ceremony was at 6, i walked by that gazebo every day and it didn't really matter what time of day it was but it was always windy. although it was windy, it was actually refreshing-by 6 it was a cooler breeze and it wasn't that windy to knock my veil or ruin my hair. i think an earlier ceremony might be really hot. we took pictures at 4 before our ceremony and we all thought we'd melt away. a few hours really made a difference.

we did our site visit last year and the apt was for 1 p.m. the gazebo was still VERY windy then!!! i think it's because of the location on punta cancun so it's really a coin toss in regards to the wind.
i do agree with lilz that a noon wedding might be super hot, even with the wind!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
