Dreams Cancun - Questions for those married here!

Recommended Posts

i have to say i like it better without the "lid" on it (as they had it set up for that wedding) ... they should quit while they're ahead! really, something about the open circle is like a wedding ring ... endless, eternal ... the illustration of the final version looks like a chinese hat.

oh, but please note that at ground level you do not see that huge rock jetty at all, just beautiful blue all around! so at least there's that! and, it looks like they finally centered the structural posts on the aisle ... they were off-center before. cheesy.gif

THANK YOU THANK YOU for posting those pics....

have to agree with all of you...looks like a chinese hat and a ufo to me!!!

what the hell is it wrapped with around the ringhuh.gif?

definitely not as cute as the original....but nothing that a couple really nice flowers/greenery cant fix up!

so glad that something will be in place for you girls that are getting married in the next few weeks!!

It is very underwhelming....I think that maybe if they had of made the pillars thicker it would have looked alot better. To me it just looks ackward, but the location is still exactly the same, so you can't beat that :) + it is just an illustration....maybe the completed version will be more eye-catching??!!

Oh, & I think that the stuff wrapped around the actual one is temporary...looks like it will be all cement when finished...

OK...so because we are getting married in October & its hurricane season & will probably rain, my FI & I have decided that we want to upgrade our room. Does anyone know what room is the 2 level room...the one with its own living room?? We were just thinking that we'd like to have one of those rooms so there is enough room for our friends/family to come hang out if it rains etc...

Does anyone have a picture of the two level room or honeymoon suite...so i can compare?

Thanks!!

Thanks for posting pictures! After looking at them about 20 times I think I've decided I like it. I had decorations made for the old one so I'm not sure how that will work out, but I'm sure I can figure something out. I wonder if they redid the gazebo so the angle during the ceremony didn't include the blocks? I like that you can't see that in any of the pictures above..

Hey Ladies,

Thanks for posting the pics of the gazebo, I feel alot better, I think all your positive vibes are rubbing off on me!...I was in tears 2 days ago trying to change hotel, which wasn't that easy as I only have a couple of weeks before I go!

Anyway, I am looking for some advice.please...

I posted a few days ago asking about entertainment in the evening, and some of you were very helpful..thank you!

I just want to hear what you are all doing after your wedding..

We are having a 5pm wedding

followed by cocktail party

follwed by meal until 10pm......

then what do we do??

We have the option to have a DJ/dance floor, but we only have 20 people going, and I think it could be a bit awkward and not much of an atmosphere..

any suggestions..please please share what your plans are?

Thank you!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
