LOL Its crunch time and I am supper anxious and nervous... HELP :)
definately CRAP!!!! the resort is gorgeous. it needs updating in the sense that it is not new like some of the others, but the views are amazing, the rooms are spacious and nicely decorated (and they all have great views!!) the service is fabulous, i could go on and on and on and on!! you won't be dissapointed!!

Now if only they would renovate the rooms, it'd be great :) And make an infinity pool instead of the lagoon...lol

This worries me a little! Cecilia told me that was the back up spot in case it rained they could do the ceremony there...is it still going to be covered?

don't know if it'll be covered or not, but she said they use the lobby right by the terrace as a rain plan back-up. the current covering has slats so it wouldn't help in the rain anyway...

Yea, you will still use the indoor space, I'll try to post a pic (I got the one above from another amazing posters' site visit review). I can't imagine they will not cover the terrace but I'm not sure.

I'm feeling hesitant about celebrating the wedding on the terrace now...my guest list keeps growing and people I thought would never actually go are now buying tickets...thinking 80 people are NOT going to fit here...and also don't like the 11pm curfew...that tends to be when the party starts going! Hmm...what to do...

we are going ahead and planning an "after party" at one of the clubs because you are absolutely right about the parties in cancun not really starting until 11!

yea, it's 11pm anywhere BUT the ballroom...I thought about doing it in there (even though the ballroom at Dreams is pretty dreadful) but it's not available anyway.

Will definitely do an after party and then come back to dreams for some post-after-party room service! yeah!

Hello Brides!

Haven't been on here in a while so I just had to read pages and pages to catch up!

I am panicing a little about this news of the terrace remodeling. My reception is there and in just 2.5 weeks! YIKES! I just emailed Cecilia and I am hoping that this won't be until after my wedding since she has not mentioned it to me at all!

Other than that we are all set! My only issue is that I have emailed Cecila for 2 weeks with last min questions and no reply so far. I know eveyone says she's great when you are there so I try to be forgiving but it's just a little frustrating when you can't get in touch with her. Sorry, just venting here. Anyway, the salon is working to book another stylist because they can't seem to get all my bridesmaids in even though they all contacted them months ago. I strongly suggest you and any ladies that may want salon services (hair & makeup) call 6 months out.

In spite of these few small speedbumps I am so so ready to be married and so so so ready for Mexico! Its becoming harder and harder to focus on the day to day (work, laudry, etc.) less than 2 weeks till I get on the plane!

Our date is April 24th so be looking for a review from me in May!

Hey Average Jane, don't worry about the terrace remodel, I'm sure it's for the best! And you'll get a brand new terrace to party on!

I haven't heard back from Cecilia since sending out an email 3wks ago, so I finally sucked it up and bought a calling card and just called...to my surprise she picked up at first ring! If you have concerns, I say you just go ahead and give her a call, she sounded busy but definitely took time to chat.

Good luck with last minute planning and congrats!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
