philly bride, I love your pics, they are so gorgeous, and you have great weather. Your fish eyes aren't bad because they focus on you two and put the background as an enhancer. I just don't like the gazebo views as fish eyes because there is too much detail being crowded and distorted. he does seem very talented!

Abbie, looooove the idea of using the bridal party to cover up the rocks... HAHAHAHA!

I'm sure the photographers will have lots of ways of getting around having the rocks and the beach in much of the picture. I have 6 bridesmaids and groomsmen so I'm hoping they will hide the rocks a bit. haha

So glad I could help and send the pics ladies! If Claudia decides to send me more pics to further ease my mind I will share them as well. The resort photographer took all the pics.

Does anyone have some leads on good photographers? I like Moments that Matter but Claudia Rodriquez does pics and video and I really want a video. I see them and they make me cry. I want one! haha
Thanks again for the pics! I'm using Del Sol and super excited about it. Elizabeth Medina is very talented as well. She wasn't available on my wedding day though.

I thought these were great considering he was the resort Photographer :)

Thank you PhillyBride09 for posting this link. I think the pics turned out Fabulous! I am planning on using the resort photographer, so it is very reassurring!

As far as the new beach/rock's I'm trying not to even think about it. I loved the look before, but I'm sure it will still be breathtaking! I just can't wait to get married there!! monkey.gif

I used the Resort photog that came with my package and I really liked my pics. I used to have the link but once they all got wiped out I never put it back up. If I can find them I will post the link :)
Jen, that was the same thing I wished I would have done! I didn't realize the video would be set to music, he used our songs from the ceremony, but then the last song was just random, I wish I would have known and I would have had him use our first dance song to.

We are flying a photographer in for our June wedding and it ended up costing less than what the resort photographer was charging and I was able to trade a few things for not using the resort photographer ...in the end I saved money by not using the resort photographer and bringing my own and I'm getting 2 extra days of pictures from her as she will be staying as a guest for 3 nights. Its worth looking into it if you can...you may save money and be able to trade like I did.

Hey Ladies,

Im getting married at Dreams Cancun this september and I can't make a decision! This question is for those married at Dreams Cancun:

Should I go with a DJ for our reception or should I request the sound system and hook up my IPOD?

I would think a DJ would be best but I think the price is a little much! It sucks that we cant bring in an outside vendor becase I found a DJ in Cancun who does 4 hours for $500

Let me know what you guys suggest!!

Thank You! :) I def know what you mean about the fish eye though. We did have a few like that.

I know that you girls are really worried about this new beach adn the rocks, but Honestly, I still think you are going to get there and just be really happy with the spot you picked :) Dreams is a beautiful resort and the view from the Gazebo is fabulous. Try not to stress too much about it. I can't imagine they would ruin that view in anyway.

I am glad! Back when I was planning my Wedding, not alot of people had used the resort photographer and we were going crazy trying to find someone with pics. So I am happy to share and give other girls some hope :)
I was REALLY upset when I realized that i couldn't afford a diff photographer and would have to use Juan. But I was so pleasantly surprised :)

i really think it depends on how many guests you're having and what type of crowd they are. we are having 30 to 40 guest and they all love to party (my family is colombian so we love to dance)...therefore we definately budgeted for the DJ. there are several brides who used the sound system and they said it turned out great. if you do that just make sure you take the time to organize the playlists so that you don't lose the party vibe :)

Hi ladies! We recently got back from our wedding and honeymoon. I will post a review later, but wanted to let you all know that Claudia and her team did an AMAZING job with our wedding! We used the photographer and video that comes with the package and I am VERY happy with the way they turned out. We also went with the DJ. It was really nice letting someone else run the music, so I could just relax and have fun!! Only thing I would change would be not to stress so much :-) As many have said before me, they really do know what they are doing. Review and pics to come ;-)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
