This happened earlier this week but it we didn't mention it and I think it is huge! It may change down the road but I hope not, It's hard to believe it's 2008 and this is still an issue...I wish the haters would mind their own business and worry about their own marriages! Even the Governator isn't opposing this one...perhaps the tide is slowly turning?

I have heard the arguments against gay marriage, but I still don't get it. I hope we see some huge changes in the next few years. It is about time!

I'm so happy for the couples that can now start planning their weddings. I know how much my wedding means to me & I'm glad they can now have the same joy.

I agree with you both. I read somewhere that even if it is overturned, anyone married during this period will not likely have their licenses invalidated in the future...but this needs to stay as is, it's a basic rights violation not to mention an imposition of religious beliefs.

I think it's awesome!

The way it was worded on the news and stuff made it confusing to figure out what was going on. At first I though that gay marriage was banned in CA. Once my brain turned on with the help of coffee I realized what actually happened.

Now if NY would jump on the wagon and start treating people with respect.

i heard about this, and the same day i heard about it, on ellen she announced she was going to get married and i actually cried! it's such an emotional, huge issue, and i'm so happy that it's being addressed in a positive way. it's long past time for this awesome change!

I saw Ellen announce it too! I think it's awesome and again if it is overturned in the fall they should still be legally married so anyone interested better do it now just in case. But I'd like to think the people of CA are above the ignorance and would not vote to strike this down in November.

Stay tuned guys because this will be a big issue in upcoming presidential debates.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
