Any one use the hairdresser at PPC?

Recommended Posts

We are heading off to Paradisus in less than a week and I still don't know what I am doing with my hair!?!?!?!?!?

I was worried about using the hairdressers there at the resort without having time to do trial runs etc. but now after many failed attempts to get "the look" myself, I think it will probably be best to have a professional do it.

Has any Paradisus brides used the salon at the resort? How was it?? any photos??

I have medium length hair and am hoping to have it curly and just a bit of it up at the front.

thanks for any help!!!

I did use the salon for my hair and they were great.. BUT!!!

I went somewhere in the states before I left and did a trial run. I brought a camera andtook pictures of every step. My hair was simple but i have to say the Paradisus hair people did it exactly like the US hair person. I had 4 other girls that got their hair done and only 1 was unhappy. Shes never happy with anything- so she wasn't going to be happy no matter. I did booked all 5 appoitments in advance before I got to the resort. Just because their is 1 or 2 weddings a day and they are always after 4pm so I didn't want 2 brides and friends running around. It worked out my wedding was at 5pm but rteally was 530 and I was the first appoitment at 1pm.

There is only 2 girls that do hair so keep that in mind. They did my hair and my friends at 1pm, and the next 2 people were at 2pm and so on..

They book 1 hout appoitments but I didn't need the whole time.

We used the hairdressers at PPC as well and although it was a bit pricey -- I absolutely LOVED the job they did!!!

I took in a few pics and showed the lady at the front desk of the salon what I wanted -- she communicated that, along with the pics, to the girl who did my hair (the hairdressers speak very, very little English). HOnestly, I was nervous b/c I didn't do a trial run based on their prices -- but I could not have been happier with the end result. i LOVED it! All but one of my BM's also had their hair done in the salon, and everyone was totally pleased!!!

Our ceremony was at 3pm .. so I booked our appointments for 10am and 11am.

I had her leave some wispy strands around my face but had to tuck them behind my ears because of the wind ... so keep that in mind. No bangs or extra wisps will make for better pictures and less hair tucking. :-)

Here are a few pics.

I did my own makeup. I thought about doing a makeup trial w/ them to see how they did ... but decided I knew better what I was comfortable with.

Did you have them do your makeup? I'm curious as to how good they are at that, as I'd LOVE to get my makeup done!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
