That's BS!!!!! You're incredibly calm! lol sorry not trying to get you worked up!

I really hope that your TA can figure something out for you so you get the same price & they don't do this to you again! Keep us updated please! Just saw your post about them honouring the deposits.. that's great news!

That is great that they are honouring the price, but really it should not have a stipulation like a book by date, its their fault not yours. I hope it does not effect to many people. I am glad its working out for you.

Hopefully everyone will be able to get their deposits in so they can still have the initial price quoted. That sucks that they changed the date and the price, but at least they are giving everyone a chance to keep the price.

Another thing, is SunQuest an actual airline? I thought it was a travel company that partners with WestJet, AirTransat, Sky Service airlines and one other one from down east. I could be wrong. I know when we were booking our trip, we were given the option for a different date then we are going and it was cheaper with the possibility of my FI and I going free, but that flight was only in the planning stage and was cancelled before we had a chance to book! Maybe that is sort of what happened to your trip. We were also told that dates would not be 100% for sure until the end of May, but our carrier has used the same days to fly to the DR for the last several years, so we aren't too worried!

**Knock on wood**

That's good news. I guess i know what you'll be doing this weekend, making phone calls. i had to make a bunch of calls around xmas time for the same reason, we had a fast deadline that people had to put deposits down. $200 is not that bad and at least you can get a head count early. It actually helped me figure things out like oot bags and favors early.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
