Thanks!

Nope, 5 nights.  So Friday night, Saturday night, Sunday night, Monday night, Tuesday night.  So travel Friday and Wednesday.

They sure do!  Besides the inked finger and it not being in Spanish, guests won't even be able to know.  And most guests won't know that in a legal ceremony you have to ink your thumb and it has to be in Spanish :)

Depends which pool you're at.  If you're at the jacuzzi pool that's close to Coba, then no (I HIGHLY doubt you will be).  If you're at the main pool (where mine was) then the bar is just on the other side of the pool... and that's where the restrooms are too, so it's really not that far.  If you're at the activity pool (outside of the restaurants) then there is the 24 hour snack bar right there which should provide drinks.

What do you think about getting a small speaker and attaching a microphone to it so that we can do speeches in the restaurant? We already have a little speaker- but i am thinking about purchasing a microphone with a cord to attach it. I don't think it will be too loud that it would disrupt others in the restaurant, but just loud enough so that surrounding tables could hear the speeches clearly?

I honestly think you'll be able to hear speeches just fine without anything.  That is, unless you have 100 people or something like that.

We plan to have between 50 to 60 guests.

Hi trisha, On a different note, can you tell me if you sign the marriage certificate in your original signature or do you sign it your new name? Did you have the legal ceremony?

Tequila, the one restaurant I've never actually stepped into.  because of that I can't tell you about how sound travels or how you'd be seated.  Sorry.

Gemma, I believe I signed my new last name.  But they'll tell you at your meeting, too.

Is anyone having trouble with family - like grandparents - that are unable to attend? How are you including them in your ceremony or wedding?

My grandmother is too weak to travel to Mexico.

    • Hello!! My fiancé and I are planning on a destination wedding and we are wondering if there are any recommendations for a travel agency to use. I’ve emailed some I found online, but find it tough just communicating through email before we decide where to book. After we book, obviously email is convenient! We are in the Niagara Falls On area and would love to sit and meet with someone but don’t know where to start. Any help is greatly appreciated!! Thank you
    • I’m getting married next May at the Azul Sensatori  in Cancun, I believe they have a hotel specific DJ. I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on that versus spending money for an outside vendor and if so any recommendations on a good DJ in that area? Thanks for the help.
