Gran Bahia Principe Akumal/Tulum/Coba - POST HERE!

Recommended Posts

Ok so...I heard from Eugenia about some of the details and now I'm confused!

We scanned our passports for both us and our witnesses, and sent her the paperwork for choosing restaurant, etc. She replied that we still need to send her our birth certificates, to "start the process of the single status certificate". Neither of us has been married/divorced before, so I'm not sure what this is for? None of the paperwork mentioned this previously, can anyone help me out?

Thanks :)

I ran into something similar a couple days before we left. There was no mention of me requiring my birth certificate and two days before we left i was told that I needed to have my birth certificate translated for them. When we arrived at the resort Jazmin told me that because my last name was different than my fathers I needed to have it translated.

I would just reply to her and ask why this information is requried.

Hope this info helps!

Thanks! I will just email her and hopefully she replies a little sooner for this quick question.

I have another question - how long is the walk from the start to the hammocks? Wondering if our little flowergirl will chicken out halfway or if she should walk with her mama.

Yup, I'll grab some photos... possibly of a wedding there :(  I hope not, but it might be raining on Friday.  We'll find out rather quickly, I suppose!

Regarding the birth certificate thing - I got a reply from Eugenia and she said that just this past week, the justice of the peace has changed the requirements so that you now need to send a copy of your birth certificate (long version). Yikes! I couldn't even find mine - good thing the registry does them in two days for $44.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
