Gran Bahia Principe Akumal/Tulum/Coba - POST HERE!

What a great idea. I want the beach location (fingers crossed - still waiting to hear back from WC) and I was going to get a pair of shoes for afterwards and my at home reception where I am wearing the dress again and then just go barefoot on the beach but those barefoot sandals are excellent. xx

we took 30 metres of organza material, I cant really remember how much it cost..mayve around £70?! The chair ties were organza also but we just bought these off ebay. We initislly sent for a sample one. they were really cheap, about £30 for 30 ties. I actually bouth them first and themed the rest around the ( I was a bit osessed with the chairs!) We just used real petals from resort, one pack was scattered ready, and the flowergirl scattered some more while she was walking.

I wonder if Vina would think differently about that.  He is only in the three photos that I posted above for Cheryl's pictures, but because he was there I had to change the way that I photograph weddings.  Had he not been there, I would have gotten different angles and photographs.

We are thinking about taking my Fiance's cousin down to take our pictures. I am not sure if she will need a permit. Do you happen to have a website or forms that need to be filled out and the equipment restricitions? Thank you for all your help :)

Hopefully your Fiance's cousin in a professional photographer.  If she is conducting business, she needs the proper visa.  There are photographers that don't fill out the paperwork.  And there are photographers that have been detained and have gone through hell because of it.  It's just really not something to risk when you're dealing with someone's wedding photographs.

As for equipment restrictions... the biggest one that trips most photographers up, is that you're only allowed one camera per family or person.  You're only allowed two lenses, one flash, two batteries, no tripod (although I have seen some people bring them without getting stopped).  Any photographer will tell you that this is not enough equipment and backup equipment to properly shoot a wedding so you have to be smart and fill out the proper paperwork and have the proper assistence.

I've asked my WC this question before and she said it was okay :). However, you don't get anything extra in place of it.... (ie I was trying to get extra flowers for wedding decor since I wasn't using their minister lol). Hope this helps!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
