Gran Bahia Principe Akumal/Tulum/Coba - POST HERE!

Recommended Posts

andrea2006- not sure if someone answered but i had a trial for my hair (they didn't charge me) it was a quick quick 20min run through of my hair because i was nervous about it. I honestly don't think I needed one but it gave me a peace of mind knowing it would turn out great. they did an awesome job, and if you do the trial and they don't do something quite how you pictured, then at least you can tell them the day of "make sure you do this" :)

Congrats to all you that got married recently!!! I haven't been on much but sounds/looks like your day went perfect just as mine did!!!  Again, I still haven't got my professional wedding photos back from our photographer yet but I will post them as SOON as I get them :) :)

Any questions just visit my review or email me at [email protected]

How big are the bridesmaid's bouquet usually?  Jazmin told me it would be $36 for a bouquet for my MOH,  she also told me it is going to cost me $40 for 8 roses to put onto my cake...So based on this I am assuming the MOH bouquet will be very small?

I sent her a picture of a bouquet I like, she told me it would be $75 but she also sent me a picture of a similar bouquet from the catalog (but it wasn't actually in the catalog she sent me) that I could get instead for no extra charge.  In the big picture $75 is really not that much but it just seems like every time I get an email this wedding is going to cost more money, it is getting frustrating...especially when the two bouquets are very similar except the one I want is a lighter pink with less roses, but the roses are larger than the catalog one..doesn't make sense that one is free but the other is an extra $75.

Be weary of the prices Jazmin is quoting you..and make sure you're specific about what you want....
I compared Jazmin's quote to the quote I recieved from a florist in Playa Del Carmen..and Jazmin(the resort)'s quote was $1000 higher!!!
Granted I want expensive flowers (orchids and calla lilies) - but there shouldnt be $1000 difference in my opinion
You aren't required to use the resort for your flowers if you think they're over-charging

In my case they definitely are. So i will definitely be hiring outside.

Hi Everyone,

Hope everyone has a had a great start to their New Year.  My wedding is on March 13.... whoa!  That's getting really close!  I was hoping to create a letter or tips to give to my guests before they go... (We have 90 ish people going)... I thought about including the following information.  I'm wondering if anyone has suggestions that I can add.

-bring lots of sunscreen (as it's expensive at the resorts)

-bring mosquito repellant

-febreeze (as I've heard the rooms are musty)

-bring walkie talkies (has anyone done this?  Does it work?)

-pack bathing suit and essentials in carry on just in case airline loses luggage... :(

-bring a mug to keep drinks cold

-the safe is $5 a day

-bring water shoes and snorkeling stuff if you want

I'd also like to add a map... does anyone have one?  And, some information about the trolleys and then the wedding day itself.  Can you think of any other tips?

Thanks,

Sarah

I think if you send them a picture of what you want they will most likely be able to match it. Be weary of the price as other brides have mentioned.  The sooner you get it over with the better! :)

Good Luck!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
