I am a little freaked out right now if it is true that we can't even have a guest take our pictures. I'm sorry but it is the most important day of my life and I don't think it is fair for them to tell us who we can and can't have to take pictures for our wedding. I emailed the photographer directly and asked for sample pics.  He just kept telling me that he was excited to take pictures at my wedding. His website was terrible. I'll have to check him out on Facebook. I guess there is no flexibility with the videographer as well which sucks!!  We're going to have about 50 or more come to our wedding and paying good money to have our wedding at the resort. We should have the option to decide who we want for OUR wedding. Ugh...I hope this is not the case.

Does anyone have any pictures that he has done for their wedding? I would love to see some to ease my mind. Thanks!

I hope the info that I heard is 100% wrong also, or that it's a case of broken telephone...  I hate the idea of not being able to choose who takes my photos!

You can have someone take pics for you at the GBP as long as they are a guest.  You just cannot have an outside vendor do your pictures that are not staying at the hotel.  This was confirmed by the wedding coordinator staff (Paloma) when I was there a few months ago.  We are flying our wedding photographer down for the week along with her asistant.  Hope this helps!

Bearer of bad news...sorry...have researched & researched & all photos of resort photographer in my opinion one word shit....however with no other option & going to try & not get stressed about it!!

At the end of the day they can't confiscate your guests camera?  People are entitled to takeh pictures also I am taking with me 30 disposable cameras for all my guests & telling them it is a competition with a prize for best phote!!  Hopefuully will getg some decnt ones!!

I have voicedmy opinion abut the photographer to Paloma & JAzmin but they won't budge on letting an outside photographer in,

Sorry if there is mistakes in this but cut a long story short kids are with grandparents, rare opportunity, so thought would pin 'him' down to lookd at suits etc butg hey football is on *& appranetly we have agges!! .....urrghh

So had ono option but to get out vodka & search for our 5 songs for ceremony,,,,,big mistake hav spent las hour intears as words are so beautiful!!!  I need to get my emotions in check cry at enyhing!!

Oh & now football has finished 'Wht were you sayin earlier babe?' he says....piss off am going tgo pbe with my vodka & cyber frinds....lol

Hi. I'm Getting married on November this year. I already contacted Arrecife Studios and saw their work and I love It!.

They're still working on a new web page and they just made a new facebook Page:

http://www.facebook.com/pages/Arrecife-Studio-Mexico/141628232524938

They told me they have new professional photographers since May and have just invested in super Pro gear. You can see examples from both photographers at their facebook pages. Also, I'll post their e-mail adress (hope this is helpfull):

photomexico@arrecifestudio.com

I think wer'e finally using them. They explain us that they're part of the Hotel owners so that's why they have exclusive agreement for being the local photographers. It's sad we are not able to decide who is Making our pictures, but these guys do a very good job.

Hello. I contacted the local photography company and they sent me information about packages and different options. I really like the pictures. Prices are kinda expensive but for us worth every penny (We don't want to save in the memories of our most important day)

Their e-mail is: photomexico@arrecifestudio.com.

Their facebook page: http://www.facebook.com/pages/Arrecife-Studio-Mexico/141628232524938.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
