They definitely allow you to use mugs.  In fact, most everyone will have them.  If you're going to give those to your guests, another great out of town bag gift idea is a tiny little bottle of dish soap.  That way they can wash them out at the end of the day and they won't be sticky for their morning coffee :)

This may be a weird question but for former guests at the bahia, do you know if they allow people to use their own travel mugs for drinks? My fiance's parents always take these when they go to all inclusives because it keeps the drinks colder and you don't have to go back as often. We were thinking of getting a set personalized as our wedding favours and giving them to guests before we go. I just wanted to make sure they are allowed before we spend that money...

Yes you can :)

So I got am email from my WC and it isn't the same as what you recieved.  I am a bit frusterated as I thought that it was $5/pp for the first hour and $3/pp for every hour after for the Specialty cocktails.  I am also not sure why you got a 40 person and I got 30.  We will likely have 55 guests.  Any idea what I should do???  Also do they allow you to have karaoke at the pool side party we would really like it!

We have different packages for a poolside cocktail after the dinner, as it is private it will have the following cost depending of the Open Bar you want:

National Bar:

Beer, Rum, Vodka, Tequila, Cocktails, Gin, Whisky          $1900 USD

Special Cocktails:

Beer, Piña Colada Cocktail, Margarita Cocktail

& Sparkling Wine                                                  $1100 USD

This option  is for 30 persons maximum , in case there´s more people will have an extra charge.

This packages includes 3 hours of open bar, set up, soft lighting, cocktail tables, tiffany chairs microphone and music.

Maybe it is because she added in the "tiffany chairs, microphone, and music". I think a lot of brides bring their own ipod and dock. Maybe ask her what the price would be for just the open bar and table set up...

Thank you I think you have calmed me quite a bit!  I asked Maria for a break down of costs and about some other options.

Has anyone on here had Maria as their WC?  How was she?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
