Definitley worth it! Enough that the boys went twice! All the guys went 2 nights before our wedding for a stag night. They were raving about it so much that all us girls were super jealous so we all went later in the week! I think we paid $65/ea for a ride to and from the club and included all drinks. Most fun ever!

Thank you Rachael! I recieved the flower brochure. Unfortunately I didnt see anything I was too crazy about. They definately need to update it! Have any past brides out there had a 1pm wedding? I am really worried about the heat. I picked out my dress before we had a set time and its not exactly a "beach wedding" dress haha. How did you guys find the heat?

We have been to the one in Cancun years ago and it was an absolutely fantastic night so we are definitely going this time too. How long does it take to get to coco bongo from the hotel and did you by your ticket and transport through the resort?

Hey Everyone,

I'm leaving on Saturday and the wedding is on Tuesday.  Very exciting...  We have 102 people going, so it's going to be a once in a lifetime trip.  Unfortunately, my neck is just clearing up from ringworm (fungus) and then woke up today and my eye is swollen... never had anything like this in my life and then right before the wedding BAM!  Oh well, I'm banking on makeup (and medication) to do the trick.

I wanted to say thank-you to everyone.. I don't participate too much on here but certainly have read every page... ;)  You all offer such good advice.  Tlseegee thank-you for your wealth of information and pictures.  I really appreciate it.  I do have one last question for you.  What did you say about the music and the old CD players?  What kind of file do I need and which do I need to avoid?

I'll be sure to write a detailed review when I get back.

Thanks,

Sarah

For those of you that did the after-dinner, pool-side reception with the DJ.... do you think that bringing Glow Sticks would be a fun option and would work? As in is it dark enough that they would be seen, or is it possibly a little too bright and we would be better off not spending the money?

Thanks once again!

Jill

Oh yes... another question... of all the reviews and everything I haven't read much about the disco on site... does anyone have any opinions on it? (But maybe if they are really bad keep them to yourselves until after March 28th when I leave so I don't read them.... LOL)

After spending all the money on the all-inclusive resort and trip I know that most of my guests don't want to spend any more so I planned on having a little 'Sexy Librarian" Theme bachelorette party just at the resort. So after the Welcome Dinner we are having (just in one of the buffets) all the girls are going back to my room and are giving me gifts of either lingerie or books (depending on comfort level) and then I have to guess who gave me what... for every wrong guess I have to take a drink! So after this game and whatever I was just planning on heading to one of the bars and then the Disco for some late night fun where we will mostly meet up with all the boys....

Anyway, I guess the point of this post was just to get a little reassurance that this plan will be fun even thought its not the planned trip to Coco Bongo... although it should be with the group of people going... we can party anywhere and have fun :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
