Recommended Posts

Thanks for sending over photos of the flowers drai and Tlseege :)

I'm definitely interested in doing the private poolside cocktail reception. Just waiting on Yuritzia or Paloma to get back to me so I can actually confirm it.

drai would you have photos of your poolside reception you could post or email to me? what type of bar package did you purchase?

Thanks ladies!!!

Drai, I think it was your post on tripadvisor I was reading where you said you saw the difference between your guests 'regular' room and your 'diamond section' room. What was the difference? Me and FH are trying to decide what to do but it looks like the diamond section will cost about $450 more per person (so $900 for the two of us) and we're trying to figure out if it's worth it.

I'm not Drai... but my sister was put into a regular room when she was supposed to be in a Junior suite. Now, she had a junior suite and I had the Club Golden.. those rooms are the same. the only difference is small amenities and location.

As for the regular room and the junior suite... BIG difference!

The regular room was two twin beds that could be pushed together and a tiny table with two chairs. The Junior suites are a king size bed. And then it has a seperate seating area with a couch and table and chairs. It was 100% needed when we were getting ready for the wedding. It was so much bigger. Plus with my neice they needed the extra room so that she could actually play inside the room in the shade!

Hey All,

I'm a newbie on this board, I'm usually on the knot but a girl from here told me this board has great resort information.

My name is Morgan, my fiance is Steve. I'm getting married at Gran Bahia Principe Tulum in November. I've been there before on vacation and I'm so excited to go back.

My wedding coordinator is Jazmin, she sent me a price list for flowers but no pictures. I believe one of you has flower pictures, will you please e-mail them to me? knottiemo at gmail.com

Thanks in Advance!

I plan to be around a lot more, can't wait to 'meet' all of you!

Morgan

Hello Morgan, welcome and congratulations!
I tried to upload the file with the flower pictures, but it's not working, I think the file is too big so I have sent it to you via e-mail. :)

My TA just heard back from the WC at the resort - when we requested a date she came back saying she had scheduled us for 2pm. We requested 4pm but she just came back saying there's already another wedding scheduled at that time. I thought they only did one wedding per day per resort?!?

Looks like you'll be getting married while we're there! My wedding is Nov 15th, only 6 months and 1 day away!

It is my understanding that they will do more than one wedding per day. Whoever books first gets first dibs on location and time.

My ticker is wrong...originally we were doing November 18th at the Grand Palladium but we switched to the Bahia on Oct 28th. We found out it would be $400 cheaper per person for our guests - it's actually working out to be $498 cheaper though! So now we're the last week of October.

Have you had any problems getting a hold of Jazmin? I saw she sent you the flower listing. I've emailed her but she still hasn't responded to ANY of my emails. So far only my TA has been able to get a hold of her.

Actually, Drai sent me the flower lists. Jazmin sent me a list of fees for extra flowers but that was it, no pictures.

I've had trouble reaching her but nothing too bad....yet. My TA has actually handled most of the communication with Jazmin. Unfortunately a lot of the answers I get back make absolutely no sense so I forward them to my TA. :)

I hadn't heard about a per person charge for drinks at the reception until I got on this board. I thought it was just the $46 per person dinner. I'll have to double check the info they sent me...

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
