I highly suggest Cancun Valet. I haven't used them myself, but they have great reviews and are the best price. About $145 roundtrip for up to 11 people in a private vehicle.

You can bring in an outside cake vendor - I asked Jazmin - but I can't remember if there was a charge or not - I don't think there is. We ended up going with the resort though.

drai - if you're wanting to be close to everything I'd suggest 4... We stayed in 3 - it has a great view, but it's a little futher back than 4 is.

The villas that you listed have great views, but they're right by the Gran Tortuga.. which isn't very far but it's further... really depends I guess on what you want to be close to.

Also, why don't you want to take the provided shuttle?

Thanks for the tips on the villas! Much appreciated. Everyone is so nice here, it's great, it's like a big extended family! I read that the provided shuttle takesmuch longer because the GBPT is the last resort. I have some people with connecting flights, so I thought if I provided direct transportation it might be better for them

So Stacy, congrats on your recent wedding! How was it, did you enjoy it? Was Jazmin your coordinator? Did you get married on the gazebo or the beach? Which restaurant did you choose? Any tips? Sorry for all the questions, it's just so great to finally see someone who got married at the same resort and a Canadian too! wink.gif

I'm with you on that! Yurtizia drives me nuts, my wedding party number just increased so I actually have to pick a set menu, I contacted her about it, even flagged the email as important but nothing. The only thing that seems to work is getting the travel agent to call her, what a pain (for me and my agent!). I say we do the best we can for our weddings...then on the 12th....we'll get her...kidding, we'll get drunk and laugh I hope, if all goes well.
Take care and know that I'm just as frustrated as you are.smile105.gif

Hey Martha, what is Jazmin's email address?

I am with you girls about Yuritzia. We have about 50 people for our wedding so far, and I can't wait to figure out the menu in the last month unless I decide to call each guest individually and ask them what they want to eat. I emailed Irma, the main coordinator, and she told me that "Yuritzia will be contacting you within 2.5 months of your wedding."..... great....

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
