So, how is everything all tallyed up on your bill at the end of the trip? I am assuming it all gets thrown on your credit card?(and I am going to call the credit card company the week before to tell them we are getting married down in Mex. so they do not get suspicious of fraud). I tallyed up the cost of what it is going to be to have the ceremony, and the reception, and maybe a few extras (extra flowers or something) and it comes to about $3300. I am just super scared that if they do not give you a breakdown of cost of things, that they will charge us for whatever they want!! I am freaking out... I have to try to save up some money for grad. school and was hoping to have some left over after the wedding... sorry... Any advicehuh.gif And we are having Claudia as our photographer for our wedding and TTD which is costing a pretty penny, but we would regret it if we didnt get good pictures!!!
When you meet with the WC and figure things out. She will go over the options you selected and the cost. It is a contract that you sign. Then that goes on your room charges. It was all itemized on our bill for checkout.

Carrie, did you see any surprises on your checkout bill? And you're allowed to pay it off with a credit card, right?

I paid mine with a credit card... and the only surprise I saw is that they DIDN'T charge me for a bunch of things! It was quite nice. I actually saved around $3-5,000... and I'm not really sure how!

the cake options jazmin gave me are round, 3 tiered round, and heart shaped. but those were the cakes that came with the package that only fed 10 people. i don't know what is available if you get a bigger wedding cake to feed everyone at an extra charge

i can post pics when i get home cuz i can't do it here at work cuz they block websites

I threw away my option for additional desserts in order to get a cake to feed 35 guests at no charge. I brought a picture of what I wanted. It was three tiered with simple decorations and bright pink roses. It wasn't perfect by any means... but it was delicious!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
