I later made a facebook group for our wedding. I found that worked out much better for my family and friends because we're facebook junkies.
Thanks :) And having a Facebook group is an awesome idea! I never thought of that!

Hi Girls: I haven't been on here for awhile so thought I should get in on some of the conversation. I have a question for any of the brides who are already married and had a legal ceremony down in Mexico. At work yesterday one of the guys I work with told me he has heard alot of nightmare stories of people not receiving their marriage licenses from the mexican government for up to a year after they had the wedding. Any truth to this, please someone give me some good news.

Also just wondered about the wedding photographer at the Tulum. Has anyone used them and wondering about the cost. Our package that we asked for is $540.00 and is the

basic package (36 pictures for 540 dollars). Any comments on the pictures, the email they sent us back states they take alot of pics and then get together with you after the wedding to go through all the pictures and you can purchase more packages. Any brides gone through this?

Dawn

No it was with air transat lol. We are having a lot of problems with them too. What day do you fly out? Are you leaving from Edmonton? We fly out on the 25 Grande Prairie to Edmonton then off to Mexico. Alberta girls seem to like the Bahia. How is your planning coming along? It sure is sneaking up on us.

4 months and 9 days until my big day. I am getting so excited. I am a full tme student so this Christmas break is a life saver for wedding planning. One more semester and I will have my education degree then two week later I will be marrying the man of my dreams. 2010 is going to be an amazing year.

For those ladies getting married at the Akumal beach location are you doing anything special to decorate the location. Does anyone know if the white material for the chairs and wood structure is something I need to bring or does the resort provide it. I was thing of making some tissue paper pom poms to be hung and different levels under the wood structure. Has anyone done anything like this? Will I have a problem getting them to hang them for me?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
