I only got told one restaurant and there are 3 or 4....WTF So why on earth is Jazmin telling me we have no choice in the restaurant? My understanding is there is only suppoed to be one wedding booked per side per day....has that changed? Otherwise they should all be available.

 

How can they tell you it is a secret you are bringing your own photographer. Like they have any say in who takes your photos from amongst your guests? Are they assuming they will just be charging you regardless of whether or not you book their photographer?

There were three weddings on my side on my day... and so I was only given one restaurant choice (however I had a pool side reception so it didn't matter). I think they tell you that so that it seems like they are going out of their way for you. Really, they can't stop a guest from taking pictures.

Thanks Tsleege....I had a friend who got married there 5 years ago and that was the rule then...so it has obviously changed! Oh well...at least I get the gazebo!

 

Anyone who is familiar with these restaurants, Jazmin got back to me and said the Gran Tortuga was already booked, but I could choose btw the Tequila and the Gourmet. She appologized for not giving me the option...she said most people choose the Gourmet, but it was up to us. Any ideas...anyone eaten out there have a suggestion?

Umm guys...does anyone have a phone number for Paloma? I am unimpressed with some information I just got and if this is not settled by the beginning of next week I am going to pull my wedding and move it to another resort...I think I have enough documentation at this point the company we are booked with would have to assist me (I hope).

 

Claudia sent me the email that she was in fact going to be allowed to come onto the resort and take the photos of the wedding. So I decline Roser - politely. Today Roser from the resort sends me and email telling me I misunderstood and Claudia is still not allowed onto the resort to take photos...so I again replied that I was told Claudia had worked something out with them and she would be my photographer.

 

So I get an email from Claudia tonight telling me she was at the resort today and the photo studio told her I had told them I was cancelling her services and had decided to go with them!!!!

 

I am sure everyone is tired of this issue and I am sorry to bring it up again but this is ridiculous and very unprofessional. I know a couple of you had also gotten emails from Claudia that she would be coming for your photos as well, so maybe double check the resort is not cancelling her for you.

Hun you are so getting th run-around and that is totally unfair. I know I have a family member that will be doing our pictures, I haven't asked if thats ok and I have no intentions of asking... Just doing it!!! I don't have a number for Paloma, I am wondering if you just called the resort and asked for her would they direct you to her or give you a number? Good Luck... Don't throw in the towel on this resort yet, it a very beautiful spot.

I received the exact same emails..........and I'm ticked.

After I heard that Claudia worked out a deal for us, I emailed the resort and told them that I preferred to go with Claudia for photo/video. Roser replied today stating that no outside vendors are allowed. Then I get an email from Claudia saying that the resort told her we decided to go with them.......absolute bullshit.

This better get resolved very soon because I am very tired of the back and forth. Now, regardless of the decision, I'm going to be wondering if anyone will show up to photograph our wedding.

I will keep you posted if I hear anything back and please do the same for me.

Arrrrggggghhhh!! These people are supposed to be professionals......I wish they would learn to get along and communicate.

Today's the day that we leave! In about 12 hours I will be on the resort enjoy the night Mexican air. Yippie.

 

I'm sorry you girls are going through all that trouble with the food and the photographers. I will see what I can find out when I have my meeting with Karla.
