I have recieved a response to my concerned message I sent to Karla and the new resort photographer. Good news for me is that they are going to allow me to keep my photographer (which is already paid in full for). This is her reply...

First of all, please be aware that the last thing we were trying to do, was unconfort you in any way. I am very sorry for any inconvenience the whole change might have caused to you. I fully understand your situatation and after a long talk with the people in charge of the administration, we got to a point where we?ll be letting you use your photographer as a Unique exception.

I am very sorry we could not cover your special day. It would have been an honor to be able to capture all the magic and emotions of this once in a life time occasion. I am sure you would have been extremellly pleased with our work.

I would definatly get something in writing to take to the resort with you. I'm getting married a day after you and as mentioned above they're calling my situation a unique exception.

I was married on Thursday (15th) and Nicole was married on Friday (16th)...and we got to meet on the day of her wedding as she was walking through the lobby in her wedding dress. I went up and introduced myself and congratulated her and her new husband. Nicole looked absolutely beautiful...

I plan to post a review but am waiting on my pictures before I do...but in the meantime...everything was absolutely AMAZING!!!

Karla and Christian (Coba WC's) are FANTASTIC!!! They went above and beyond for our whole group. I am a very "particular" person and they took care of every single detail that I requested. It was wonderful.
Oops! I can't believe I got the days wrong. blush2.gif

I'm glad to hear that Karla and her partner in crime are fantastic. I can't wait until it's my turn to finally meet them. I can't wait to see pictures!!

We are officially booked at GBP -Tulum for February 25, 2010! I am pretty excited and we have a bunch of guests already booked!

This forum has been great for info. I have never been on a forum before (not a super computer person) so hopefully this works!

As soon as I hear something I will post it.
I did here back from Roser Pla who apparently is the Assistant Manager for Arrecife Studio... see page 205 of this thread. I posted the response I got as well as the 3 pictures they sent.

I've since been thinking about bringing my own photographer from WI... does anyone know if this is still allowed? I sent an email to Jazmin but you know how that goes... I probably won't hear back for a couple days and I'm anxious to get the ball rolling!

If you don't mind footing a long distance bill and you want a quick answer, you could try calling. When I tried calling early on to book my date, they put me through to Paloma. You might even be able to get your own WC on the line.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
