Good Luck!
Thanks. I emailed her earlier and requested a read receipt. Haven't gotten one yet.

I filled out the "form" to reserve my date but left a bunch of sections blank (booking number, tour operator, room type, etc...), so hopefully she accepts that and can reseve my date.

I just got a email from Yuritzia and then when I tried to reply I got a error so now I resent the email using this email groupsmx2@bahia-principe.com and so far no error but when I reply from a email sent from her it is a different it is Gerente_Grupos_y_Banquetes_BPAKU/Bahia_Principe@soltour.es so maybe there is a problem when you reply to a email from them.

Yeah, that's all I did too, they just asked me to forward our booking numbers etc once it was all set in stone. I'm sure it will all work out! :)

We originally wanted the mariachi band right after the ceremony but our friend is playing the bagpipes for our recessional so she said why don't you have him play and then take picts with family & friends so our guests and us are not missing the band. Then have dinner and then have the band play after dinner, so pretty much we moved the cocktail hour til after dinner.

We also were able to book our wedding before we booked our trip. We org. contacted the resort in March for a Feb wedding but they said they were not booking that far out yet and we had to get back to them at the end of April or early May.
Awesome thank you! I was nervous about giving people a timeline when we can't even really confirm the time etc until we get there. That makes more sense that we would give it to them once we get there and everything is worked out...

JKCZ- I know, its coming up fast. We leave on Friday. I was just at my hairdresser and she reality checked me into realizing that I have TWO DAYS before I leave. I'm stressed one minute and not the next. We're pretty prepared. Just a couple of last minute things we still need to do. If only Jazmin would respond in a timely fashion to my emails, things would be a lot better!! We still haven't decided what we are doing for dinner... I'm waiting on her to answer some questions. We're trying to decide between the outside poolside private Taquiza dinner (which is cool, but quite expensive when you add everything up - extra for drinks, extra 2 hours for the DJ, extra for dessert, I think etc. etc.) and dinner at the Mexican restaurant (free and included in the package). I just don't want to wish I had done things differently when I look back on it!! And RyanAmanda's private dinner looked so beautiful!!

Deep breaths.

How exciting and nerve racking to be leaving in days, yeah it would be good if you could get answers to your questions quicker. We were trying to decide between a private reception vs restaurnt but decided on the rest. bc it can be windy in Feb so we thought we would do the band and dj outside & if people are chilly they will have to dance!

We hired DJ Bob he is originally from New Jersey. His rates are pretty good. Here is his website. Wedding DJ we just needed to provide him with 10 songs and he will pick the rest which was a big check off our list. There is also no charge to bring him to the resort either so that is a bonus!

I thought they provide a DJ there? I mean, we are going to be getting married on the Tulum side, and I was under the impression that they were providing the DJ, and that it is $150 per hour... and we could give him some CDs if we wanted? Is this true?? I am all confused... Plus... another question... I think someone posted it before... are you supposed to make a CD with you walk down the aisle song, all that stuff? Sorry, my brain is fried lol

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
