I know! Some day I'd like to photograph a wedding at the Bahia (since I know the resort pretty well) and that's where I'd do the trash the dress. It's SO beautiful and the sand is powder soft. It'd be amazing!

Well I am officially confused. We spoke with the resort and they said there is no new restaurant policy and that it is a rumor only. So I've emailed Air Canada to see what the deal is and get the policy explained to me in simple terms. I also asked them whether this is a hotel policy or if it just pertains to Air Canada guests. Will let you know what I find out.

We are also a bit mad b/c we found out today that there is another wedding at our resort on the same day. When we booked, we were told that there was a 1 wedding a day policy at each resort. But strangely enough we found out about this other wedding b/c we know the people getting married...from the same hometown!! It is just scary that Jazmin will now have two weddings on the same day and we might not get the same quality that we were hoping for. Or that we might not get our first choice of something even though we booked well before this other couple. Just frustrating to be told one thing only to find out its not true.

I understand your frustrations... but it's true that there is more than one wedding a day. I think there was THREE on my wedding day at my ONE resort! Ha! In fact, I KNOW there was at least three. But don't worry. They deal with multiple weddings every single day and they run like clockwork. Your wedding will be beautiful and flawless and exactly what you want.

Okay, so... my TA had to go through hell to get decent rates from GBP... the Travel agency actually had to drop them as a resort because they would not work with them, and they had to book our whole trip (group) through a different wholesaler agency. Needless to say, last week when I received a call from the TA saying we may not be able to have the wedding there, I freaked out. But, they managed to figure out a plan and now it's on!! Yeah!!

Don't panic!!! I know, I have been doing this a lot lately, if someone breathes the wrong way lol... If worst comes to worst, even though it is a pain in the butt, call her at the resort. I was not getting a response once and I called and got a hold of her personally.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
