Gran Bahia Principe Akumal/Tulum/Coba - POST HERE!

Recommended Posts

I only have about 16 guests going working up to 20. I'm just curiouscase to what options for reception are worth it?

We would like to do first dance, father daughter dance, some short thank you speeches and enjoy the rest of our night privately without all the other resort guests.

Hi there,

I'm gettin married at the akumal jan 2015.

Only 4 months away.. I was told to email 3 months prior to start booking but I'm starting to freak out so I emailed august 3rd asking for prices and pictures and still have not received a response.. I resent my email two days ago and still nothing.

If you have planned a wedding or are planning now can you help me on what I should do this is making me really nervous that we picked this resort!

Thanks

Rebbecca

@@Beccamadge They haven't released the packages for 2015 yet and Akumal is in the middle of a changeover to being a luxury resort as of this November, which is probably part of the delay. I myself am waiting to book for Coba to get married at the Akumal Hammock site, but my travel agent said they wouldn't release the rates until October of this year.

Maggietron sorry I made a typo I'm already booked but I'm supposed to email back 3 months prior to plan.

So I emailed and they congratulated me and asked me to set a date.. Even though I already have my date and they confirmed via email. Eek so stressed!

But she attached 2015 packages for me. So did you want me to share them with you ?

Hi everyone. Good day!

How's everyone's wedding planning with the coordinator?

My wedding day is Just less than 2 months now, wish I had joined this communication earlier :-)

When is your wedding? I'm finding they lack the ability to respond to emails in a timely manner. It's almost once a month atm and my wedding is November 6th.

Mine is just one week before yours! :-)

Yes we had that communication problem too so we actually gave them a call. Since then, they have been replying emails in a timely manner, plus giving confirmation for our requests. Who's your coordinator? I would suggest you copy Linda/Paloma in the communications. Hope this helps!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
