Thanks for your reply! :)

Eugenia hasn't mentioned anything about a cash deposit. Did she wait until you got there to tell you about it or did you know about the deposit before you left for Mexico?

Sorry about the late response. Jazmin told me about the deposit before I left for Mexico. The final email she sent me, she mentioned the cash deposit. Again, I'm not sure if this is standard across all 3 of the resorts or if that was just for Tulum.

This is a picture of my cake that we got... we had dinner at the Don Pablo on Tulum. We had the 3 milks (tres leches) and it was AMAZING! I had to request for a 2-tier cake from Jazmin though. I asked her to make the 2 tiers smaller than usual just so I can't have the layers.

My photographers stayed for 5 nights. I booked their stay for Nov. 10 -15, which was sufficient for the resort to let them photograph my wedding.

I'm having the dinner at Tequiliritas Mexican Restaurant.... does anyone know if the tables are round or square? And about how many people per table?

I'm going through my photos from the trip and my dad's facebook photos. Tequila has square tables from what I remember and what I can see in the photos. My family was there in a group of 7 or 8 and they just put together some square tables to make a long table for them. I believe the settings there are 8-10 people per table.

Hey Ladies!

My wedding will take place at the Akumal Beach location in Feb. I am just talking with the WC Eugina which has been great.

I am wondering what all of you had for dinner (we chose Dolce vita at Akumal) she wants me to chose what each person will be eating (the same appy soup and main for all 26 people) I am a little uncompfortable choosing one dish for all 26 people to eat the same thing.... any advise? was it the same for you all??

awe, :( i was hoping that wasnt the case :( I figure if all 26 of us went to any of the other restaurants on any other day we could sit as a group and order what we want.. I understand its probably easier for them to do it that way.. but not easier for me :(

Is that because for a one week stay each person gets 3 restaurant nights... and with a wedding techinically they get 4? because the wedding night doesnt count against a restaurant meal?

Thanks egagne87 for posting this! I would love to know more about your wedding- I am getting married at the end of February and we are eating at the Portofino with our reception at the Jacuzzi Pool in Coba!   Couple questions for you:

How many guests did you have and did you think the Jacuzzi Pool area was large enough for people to dance?  We have a little over 50 and I am worried about it being large enough-

What was your menu at Portofino and did your guests like it?

Did your wedding party give speeches?  Any spot you would recommend to do this (dinner versus reception)

What did you think of the Coba Salon? How much was it to get your hair done?

Would LOOOOVE to be able to email you!!! Sounds like we have the exact same wedding day J

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
