We are just back yesterday from our holiday and superb wedding be it very emotional but everything ran like a dream.   Jazmin & Karla the wedding coordinators were amazing.  Rest assured any worries you have in the run up to your day will be for nothing.

Yes your wedding meal is one from Bride & Grooms A La Carte Restaurants - from the UK staying for 2 weeks you get a total of 8 A La Cartes, you also use another for your Romantic Meal for 2 on a night and restaurant of your choice.

There were 21 of us and we had 2 tables to the back of the restaurant and had our speaches before the meal - there was only 1 other table in the restaurant at the time (630pm meal)

Will post full review later with a few photos, we used Arrecife and could not fault them in any way and even went ahead with DVD too.

Enjoy the buildup msnwink.gif Kirstin Xx

So excited for you congratulations!!! I can't wait to see all your pics and your review! :)

Question re: music during ceremony.

So 1 song for my ring bearer and flower girls (one toddler in there, she'll take forever.. hahah), 1 song for me, 1 song for signing, 1 song for walking back down the isle.  But the song for people sitting, I'm thinking one isn't enough??

Hello ladies... My name is Ashley I'm not exactly sure if I'm posting this at the right spot but..I'm getting MARRIED!!! I'm so excited and awfully nervous at the same time. I will be getting married may 16 2014 at Grand Bahia Principe Akumal. I have lots of questions I've been reading reviews for months now the good and the bad. I just want to make sure my day is a day to remember. I'm guessing I should look into my own photographer. How is the make up artist. What about the cake & flowers. I would like to have a sand ceremony is this possible. What's the best location to have the wedding. What's a great reception place I've been hearing alot about poolside. Sorry for do many questions hope you guys can help

Hello ladies... I will be joining the marriage train in May of 2014.. Extremely nervous an excited all in one. I have lots of questions that I hope can be answered. As far as hair & makeup on the resort how is it? I see I have different options for the where the wedding can take place but where is the eat location in your opinion? I received the wedding packages but I'm not too sure if the reception price is included..is a pool side reception a good choice that's what I'm considering. How are they with decor how are the cakes? I will be having some one song at my wedding will they allow this? Sorry to bombard with so many questions. Hope you all can help thanks Ashley

Hi Ashley,

The pool side reception is extra, so you'll have to pay for that.  The dinner in the public restaurants is included.  I will say, the pool reception is definitely worth it and amazing.

The cake decor is honestly lacking, but they are delicious and nobody really cares, quite honestly.

Having someone sing at your wedding should be fine.  And what a beautiful touch!  I love it!

Thanks for the much needed advice & answered questions! But I have more hopefully past/future brides can answer some things for me! I've seen that maybe 3 years ago to have a pool side reception was 150 & hour for Dj & another price for drinks? Is this true or has the price changed Also I've seen the cake is a two or three tier available. Is the fabric over the chairs included or will I have to purchase my own? Also how much extra is it for my brides maids flowers I have 7 BM (rather large bridal party). We selected the unforgettable package I'm having 50+ guests any suggestions on a ceremony site?... & I've also seen that the disco is no longer available to rent out is this true! Ok sorry for all the questions

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
