Gran Bahia Principe Akumal/Tulum/Coba - POST HERE!

Recommended Posts

Just a question for those who have confirmed their date and are now working with their WC... The confirmation email I received from Paloma with date and location said that we should contact our WC (Eugenia) 3mths prior to the wedding date. I noticed most of you that are far ahead of 3mths time frame are in contact with your WC. Did you get this same email from Paloma initially? And did you just contact them earlier, or did your WC contact you much earlier than 3 mths before?

Thanks!! :)

Got that same email.  My WC contacted me not very long after that initial email.

Even 5 years ago I was told the same 3 month thing.  Ha!  As if I could wait that long.  Especially since some locations/times/services are first come first serve!

Yeah, that's the same with me as well. My wedding is in November and after the date and location were confirmed with my TA, Jazmin had already sent me an email to introduce herself and asked for some information. In addition to that, she was already providing options for various things like dinner options, poolside reception options, menu and cake options to me to make the decisions. I feel like the WCs wouldn't want to wait that last minute to complete everything either.

Hi everyone!  This is my first post but I have been following this forum for a couple of months!  My fiance Sean and I are getting married on October 23, 2013 at the Tulum Gazebo and are staying at the Coba.  Just starting to communicate with Maria and work out all of the details!  I just had a question regarding the restaurant options for the dinner.  Maria asked me to choose between Mediterráneo (mediterranean food), Pescador (fisherie),  and Porto Fino (Italian).  She included the menus for the first two but not for Porto Fino....  any idea why?  Anyone have any recommendations on which one to choose??  The seafood one is out because my fiance doesn't like seafood :)   TIA!!
Hi ya! I'm getting married on the 25th October! Will probably bump into you when were out there! :-)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
