To start i just want to congratulate all the brides and married girls and wish you all the best!

I am from Portugal, and i am going to married in GranBahiaPrincipe Tulum in July 2013, i am very excited but i feel that i still have everything to decide and i will sure need your precisous help.

I am thinking of choosing the mayan ceremony. Does anyone have pics of these ceremony that can share? Is it with a true shaman? Does it fit with the gazebo space?

Other questions is about wedding shoes. At these point i need to buy the shoes in order to made the adjust in my wedding dress. I love high heels, but maybe some flat sandals are the wiser choice. Whats were your choices girls? Its easy to walk on the beach with a long dress.

Thank you!

Big hug and kisses *********

Hi, congratulations and welcome, what part of Portugal are you from? My mother lives there in the Algarve :) I love high shoes too but my partner is short lol and plus with the sand I have just got a small/mid heel.

Hi everyone!

I am getting married in November, and just got some emails from Eugenia. I was wondering if anyone had any luck getting a different restaurant for their wedding dinner than was previously offered? We are staying at and getting married in Akumal, but we had our hearts set on Gran Tortuga (not Dolce Vita or Frutos Del Mar) with a private poolside reception afterwards. Any advice? Thanks!

  2. a private pool party with a cost of 1´470usd per 40people maximun and 3 hrs (8:00pm -11pm) of special drinks (piñas coladas, margaritas, sparkling wine & beers) +  2 lounge rooms + special ilumination + 1 microphone + speaker to connect your Ipod and decorated too with chairs & hight tables,
  3. a private pool party with a cost of 1´020usd per 40people maximun and 3 hrs(8:00pm -11pm)  of special drinks (piñas coladas, margaritas, sparkling wine & beers) +  special ilumination + 1 microphone + speaker to connect your Ipod and decorated too with chairs & hight tables,
  4. free time after dinner to do a get together in the lobby bar but we cannot book areas or tables there because this is part of the all inclusive services for all the guests in the complex

Hope this helps.

Hi,

We were given the same pricing and options. We are getting married on a thurs and have heard (through this site) that there is a Mexican fiesta night at a considerably lower cost. The only gap in our plan post-reception dinner is that we would like to have an hour/two of our own music. We are going to attempt to talk to one or two of the dj's in the resort. We aren't supportive of paying over a grand for a private bartender as we are at an all inclusive and none of our guests would even like the special cocktails as everyone drinks wine, spirits & beer. We are always going to bring our own small speakers so worst case we will find a private area of the hotel on our own, hook up the speakers and have a private boogie somewhere. Also my fiance plays guitar so we may bring that and then have that as part of the entertainment too. We are only about 20 people so it shouldn't be a big deal. Then after this psuedo party we can hit the mexican fiesta.  I doubt highly the hotel will kick out the bride & groom. lol. x

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
