How are you all planning on bringing your dress, as hand luggage or hold luggage? I have a dress box its too big for hand luggage but its only cardboard and im scared the box will get damaged in the hold. What did past brides use? Thanks in advance

Definitely carry your dress onboard with you in a garment bag.  Lay it in the overhead compartment and it'll be fine.

Thursdays is the Mexican Fiesta at the Hacienda, and you do have to pay per person for that.  I believe $18 or so.  So in that case, I'd party at the lobby.  Tulum and Coba always seem to have a live music party going on.

Hi,

Our wedding is on 9th May so a bit before yours I think. I'm glad to hear that you don't need translation. Was just a bit worried as have had some issues with FC. Have you heard back from your WC? Ours is Eugenia and still nothing - am very annoyed to be honest. I know that they have a lot of weddings etc but it is very close.

We have been inquiring about a beach reception but she keeps pushing the pool for some reason. So to make things easier for ourselves, we are now leaning towards it. When we were there last year, we saw a party going on under what seemed to be a large palapa around a pool area either in Akumal or Coba and can't remember which it was - it was 100% not Tulum. We are expecting around 40 people and want enough room to dance - anyone know which pool is most private and has the most space to move around?

HI

You wont get to party on the beach for health and safety reasons for all concerned.

When we were there 2 years ago there was a bridal party that decided to move from the pool area and go swimming in the sea later in the evening and someone got into trouble  . . . .

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
