Your wedding looked beautiful!  Thank you for posting your review. Welcome back!

I am a vegetarian as well, as are a few people in my group.  When you pre- chose your dinner entrees, did you get to pick 2 "meat" choices and was the vegetarian one available for the people that wanted it?  I would like to give my guests 2  non veggie options to choose from....

thanks in advance!

I had heard of other brides doing a welcome dinner so i asked Eugenia about it a few months before we left. She said it was no problem and arranged it for us at no charge.

The bus to Coco Bongo took 30-45 minutes i think. We left at 9:30 and were inside and seated by 10:30ish. There were about 10 people from our resort and we also stopped at the Gran Sierens to pick up a few people. The bus was pretty empty. I'm not sure if on busier nights they would stop at more resorts or not. There is usually a Coco Bongo rep hanging around the pool that you can ask questions and book from.

Hey, yea we picked 2 meat options and i told her that myself and another guest were vegetarians. When we met with her before the wedding she had this noted (and specifically that the Bride was vegetarian). We didn't know ahead of time what the vegetarian option would be though. During our dinner the waiters went out of their way to ask us if the vegetarian option (pasta) was okay. They originally were planning on giving us linquini, which I vetoed as i thought it would end up all over my face! So they gave us a less messy noodle instead! If you know sort of what you want i'm sure you could request it. The Frutos Del Mar restaurant is attached to the Italian restaurant so it was easy for them to bring over some pasta.

Hi!

Thanks for answering my question.  We are staying at the Coba (but getting married at the Akumal side) so we chose the Mediterranno restaurant.  On the menu, there is an awesome veggie option (vegetable caponata) that I would be very happy with.  So...hopefully we can pick 2 meat options and the vegetarians can have the veggie option!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
