Just wondering if anyone knows about the golf at the resort. I read on the actual website that golf is free for hotel guests, however on the golf course website it says it is 65$ per person per round for hotel guests (including cart and snacks). Has anyone been that can confirm the price?

Thanks!

Christy

Christy - guests should get a free green-fee - I know mine do but we're also all in the Diamond Club so not sure if that makes a difference.

They will still have to pay for a cart-fee though

Any questions you have- just email Omar Velez at the Golf Club

he's fantastic and super nice and will answer all your questions!

Hi! We are getting married at GBP in may 2013... We already reserved the trip for our 78 guests ... But when We reserved the wedding, we were only 40... :-s I wrote 4-5 email to Eugenia to be sure it was ok for the reception (just to be sure we wont have to pay extras because we are too many...) and she never reply... I also wanted to know if it was possible to have the wedding dinner at Arlequin rstaurant (we already came to GBP and lovedd that rstaurant) Do you think we would be ok with that numbers of guests...? Do you think Eugenia's not answering my emails because I am to early (wedding is in 7 months...) Thank youu !!

Morning!

Wow!  What a wonderful group you have for your wedding!  Congratulations!

Arlequin is not offered as a wedding dinner location.  However, I agree, it's delicious!

As for the lack of response, she's very busy and the wedding is pretty far out.  If you still haven't heard anything in a week or two, copy in Paloma and you should get a better response.

Trish,

Is the Daiquiri bar the same as the music piano bar? I ask because below is the information the website has advertised and it list both Daiquiri and Piano bar, but it says one is only for premier guests. I want to make sure I have the right information to include in my wedding itinerary for my guests. Please confirm. Thanks!

We actually had our reception dinner at Arlequin and it was great!  It's a fairly small restaurant so I'm not sure if you'll all fit Either way, it doesn't hurt to ask. You'll most likely have to be staying in the Akumal side.

Yeah, you are one of the very few people who have had their reception there.  Not sure why they don't offer it typically.  The food is delicious and the view is gorgeous!

The Daiquiri bar is where they have live music and I believe it would be considered the piano bar.  I was in there, and not a premier member, but maybe they were more lenient?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
