Gran Bahia Principe Akumal/Tulum/Coba - POST HERE!

Recommended Posts

Hi ladies,

We have a couple of friends who are staying outside the resort but are attending the wedding - do they need a full day pass, or is there possible a 'cheaper' option for them just to arrive for the wedding and dinner? We've told them to come in the morning and eat and drink all day, but they're wanderers and would like to do their own thing.

Thanks :)

Many people will make their way to the Hacienda.  The disco doesn't open until midnight, but there is usually live music in the lobby up until that point.  So just make your way to the lobby and then to the hacienda :)

The Daiquri bar in Coba is a great meeting place.  It's the wine bar.  They usually have nice entertainment, there is a little shopping area right outside, and it's a more "luxurious" feel than most of the other bars.

Hi! I am new to this forum, and this is my first post!  Wow... what an awesome place for info!!

My fiance and I are looking at booking this resort for our wedding Feb 2014 and I have been reading all the posts to get an idea of costs and which of the 3 resorts we should book. I was wondering if anyone has an updated list of the extra costs for flowers, etc that they could email me?

Also, i saw the official post re: package prices for 2011/2012, but just wondering if there is a maximum number of people for each, or just a minimum? On the Bahia website, the package prices say, for example "Remember pkg: From $600 minimum 20 guests". Does that mean that I have to pay extra for each guest over the 20?

My email address is lizgerry@sasktel.net if anyone has the price list/brochure.

Thank you so much for the help!  prayer1.gif

Hey,

Just wondering if anyone knows about the golf at the resort. I read on the actual website that golf is free for hotel guests, however on the golf course website it says it is 65$ per person per round for hotel guests (including cart and snacks). Has anyone been that can confirm the price?

Thanks!

Christy

Yes Christy it's a bit confusing, you must take a buggy and that's what the cost is for, the charge is per person for buggy hire refreshment including beers and snacks on the course. Hope this helps Kirstin 😄

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
