Alright, here are just a few pictures!  Not edited, just posted for pure viewing enjoyment :)

Here is what the gazebo looks like from the beach.

This is the Tulum rain location.  You walk in through these doors and get married in front of that fountain.

Here are pictures of the Akumal beach side:

This is the wedding site.

Here are the remaining destroyed palapas (the rest have been fixed)

Here is the beach bar (the other one is completely gone, so no pictures... it looks like sand!).  This was the one with the swings on it.

And the pier:

For my next trick... for those of you wondering why I take my GBP brides to a special beach for their trash the dress session... here is the GBP beach

And here is the beach I took Mariah & Josh to...

Yes... it's true, you should hire me :)

I also agree that a TA is best! You definitely need to take the time to find a good one though. I don't know where you live, but i went to sears travel, marlin travel and flight center, and they were all completely useless. Most told me it was too soon to book (it was about 8 months before our wedding date and really they were too lazy to request a quote from the tour operators), and many took down my info and never got back to me. After getting fed up i went to Blue Petal, who specialize in weddings. They were great, however charge $500 for their services. I ended up finding an awesome TA (specializing in groups) with Travel Best Bets. She got us an awesome deal, coordinated all our guests from across the country (we didn't have to do anything!), and every 11th guest is free! I would definitely recommend Travel Best Bets if you are flying out of Canada!

Wow Christy! can't believe those TA didn't want to sell you a group trip.. you would think they'd like the business!! Happy you found a good one though! :)

If you are in Edmonton by chance, we went through Vacations Plus Travel. Tara is great, and has done weddings for a couple friends of mine.

We booked through Transat, and it was a great deal as we got 30 seats held for us when we put our deposit down and then every 11th seat was free (which ends up as a refund to you to use as you wish!) Using a TA is a really good idea, I think it would save you money and stress in the long run.

Unfortunately none of the flowers in my bouquet are covered in whats 'included' - they do give white calla lilies included but not the purple and the orchids are more of a luxury flower so they're not included either.

For my bouquet - they were going to charge me $570 USD!!! and my florist is only charging me $190 USD

For the bridesmaids - they were going to charge me $210/per bouquet - and my florist is charging $75 USD per bouquet

For the Orchid boutonniers - resort was going to charge me $33 USD per boutonnier - and the florist is charging $20USD

For the Calla boutonniers - resort was going to charge me $30 USD per boutonnier - and the florist is charging $25 USD

Sooo ya - the florist is Maya Diseno Floral - the guy I deal with is Marvin - and he's amazing!  He does charge a delivery fee of $100 USD though - but you won't have to pay a day pass for him because they're just dropping off

his email is marvin@mayafloral.com

website is http://www.mayafloral.com/

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
