I'm confused about the poolside cocktail party - I emailed Eugenia and asked about having the party with national drinks only. She asked if we wanted the $41/person option - is that the cost? I thought it was only something like $5/person.

She also quoted me $70/hour to rent the speakers for an iPod.

Thanks!

Erin

$41 a person sounds like the $36 for the meal and the $5 for the drinks... but that seems slightly odd to me that she'd put it that way.

I'd maybe respond with what kind of drinks you were looking for.

Hello,

When I booked Eugenia emailed me the following:

A private cocktail after the dinner beside the pool until 11:00 pm, as it is private it will have the following cost depending of the Open Bar you want:

National Bar:
Beer, Rum, Vodka, Tequila, Cocktails, Gin, Whisky

$17 USD per person for the first hour

extra hour: $12 USD per person

International Bar:
Beer, Tequila, Rum, Vodka , Whisky, Cocktails, Gin, International brands wine of the house and sprkling wine

$24 USD per person for the first hour

extra hour: $18 USD per person

Special Cocktails:
Beer, Piña Colada Cocktail, Margarita Cocktail & Sparkling Wine

$5 USD per person for the first hour
extra hour: $3 USD per person

So my guess is that Eugina is assuming you are having a cocktail party with the National Bar for 3 hours after your dinner

$17.00 for the first hour
$12.00 for the second hour

$12.00 for the third hour

Equaling a total of $41.00 per person for all three hours of the cocktail party

Hope this helps J

Now that you mentioned, I have not heard from her in 3 weeks myself...off topic, but I noticed your wedding date is October 17th, I'm getting married on the 12th and also staying at Coba! When do you arrive at the resort? Perhaps we will cross paths.

This is exactly how she quoted us for the bar (we did the special cocktails so it was $11 (5+3+3) per person. But here is something important... DO NOT pay more for the different bars. Just pay for the Special Cocktails. You will get everything anyway. We had people ordering all sorts of shots... tequila, whiskey, rum, you name it, and we only payed for the very lowest. Don't waste you money.!

Hi girls

I got back this morning ....I'm sorry, but I am going to write a review in the next few days. As there is 6 hours time difference....I am a lil all over the place....with tiredness ...being in UK......... Girls I want you to know....

I panicked as no one was E mailing me back.....I was stressed....There really is no need to. I had Maria Ferandez I met with her the day after I arrived and she totally exceeded what I had told her I wanted. I cried as everything was perfect,,,,beyond any expectation. These are experts and they helped me even more than I asked her.....What a lovely lady. You ladies are going to love it xxxx

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
