I posted about the golf course prices back in January when I got back... I forget though.

Online I found $250 for 2 people including golf club rentals and cart.

Thank you Tlseege

Do you know if they play televised sports games at the sports bar? The England football team (soccer) have a match the day after we arrive.

Yup, they play games in the sports bar, but they also will sometimes play the big sports games in the theaters.  When we were there in January it was the NFL playoffs and they had the games on in the Coba Theater.  That was pretty cool.

Hi Shannon! I'm not an expert but was told you can do the sand ceremony after the vows and before you and your groom exit the ceremony. You can definitely use a song for that. Ceremony music was hard for me also. I wanted the traditional wedding march etc...but wanted a more fun version for the beach. I was able to find steel drums version on iTunes. Look up The Carnival Steel Steel Drum and you should find a tropical wedding collection. =) Sorry I cannot help on the piano bar info.

5 days to go for me :)

Hi Shannon - here's what my WC told me:

According to Jazmin, my coordinator, we will need 5 songs (each approximately 3-4 minutes)
1 for bridesmaids
1 for the bride's entrance (processional)
1 for the couple departure (recessional)
2 for signing (sand ceremony)

Here are the songs I'm using

Hans Zimmer True Romance Bridal party entrance
Train Marry Me Walk down the aisle
Jason Mraz Colbie Caillat Lucky Signing cert - sand ceremony
Jason Mraz  I'm yours Signing cert - sand ceremony
Don Omar & Lucenzo Danza Kuduro Ceremony over -recessional

Hiya ladies! I just got the email from Arrecife asking about photo-packages that I may want to book over and above our 'free' photos that come with the wedding package. The thing is..we're bringing our own photographer down and i really dont want Arrecife's photogs to get in his way...i really dont care about the free pics.
What should I do? Should i just email back and say thanks but no thanks? I dont want to advertise that we're bringing our own because the hotel is very sticky about this..but they're bound to find out anyway on the wedding day!  I know that they can't really do anything if he's a paying guest at the hotel..i just dont want to ruffle any feathers until i absolutely have to..
Any suggestions?
Thanks!

I would be honest.  Say that a guest at your wedding is a photographer and will be photographing your big day, so you'd like to excuse them from their services on your wedding day.

They will probably ask you questions about your photographer.  Their date of travel, their room number, their business name, etc.

Honestly, I advise all my clients to IGNORE that email.  Mostly, for my safety.  i don't care if the hotel knows I'm there, I fill out all the proper paperwork and it's perfectly legal. I'm more concerned that they'll be able to figure out what room I'm in with $20,000 worth of equipment!  Again, not necessarily the photo crew, but anyone at that resort would see that noted in my file and it's just absolutely not a risk I'm willing to take.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
