Gran Bahia Principe Akumal/Tulum/Coba - POST HERE!

Recommended Posts

Hey Emily, Some of the pictures are from Diego from arricife ( we ended up spending $150 extra for ten more pictures) and some our from one of our photographers... We had the symbolic package ($1175) we were legally married in our hometown before we went to Mexico.. Also men must wear long pants to a la cartes, but can wear shorts to the buffet,

Hi Emily,

I asked the same question to Maria and she advised me that men can wear shorts and formal sandals to the à la carte restos so buffet should be no problem. =) happy planning!

We were told that men can wear dress shorts to al la carte restaurants, except for don pablo, arlequin and the gourmet.  The only dress code for buffet (that I saw)  is you can't wear bathing suits and you can't be soaking wet.

Hi all, thanks to all that replied re legal docs. We leave from the uk 2 weeks today. I've been reading all the posts which are proving to be very helpful. We still have loads to do starting to get stressed now tbh. I wonder if anyone could help with the following? 1 how much are the blood tests? 2 we have booked with t cook sunshine package what legal costs are to pay in Mexico. We emailed Jazmin over 1 week ago an still no reply. Our experience with t cook hasn't been great and all info they have supplied has been in accurate. Help from you all to de stress me would be lovely :) x Jo x x x

Hi fraggle42, the unity sand ceremony represents bringing two lives together in the bond of marriage. basically bride and groom each have their coloured sand in separated vases and they pour their sand in one big vase, bringing their lives together into one. =)

Alright ladies... this is my last day... we leave for Mexico tomorrow and I can not wait!!! We managed to fit all our paper products and wedding related items in our carry-on roller suitcase and are all packed up and set to go (a miracle!). Once again thanks for all your help over the last year. I will be sure to put up a review and photos when I return. Until then, happy planning!

Jill

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
