Hi fraggle42, How did you get Jazmin to respond to your e-mails? As I have only had one response from her over a month ago since then I have e-mailed her about 5 times including Paloma her boss and I have yet to get any reply, with my wedding on July 23rd of this year, this being my second go round with a different resort as our First tour company cancelled our first booking, now we are with a different tour company and a different resort this has been a long prossess and I am getting a little worried and frustrated.

You will be fine flowerchild. This site will help you out so much.I think without this site and some of the past brides that pop on here regularly I would be a wreck. I wouldnt have a clue about what to expect, all of the options or how to go about things. Jazmin (my WC) has been good at responding really seeing as our wedding is not until November but even so without this forum I think I would be so apprehensive about the wedding and how it was going to turn out which I am not.

So thanks again to all the past and future brides for your help, info and advice. Only 8 months of questions and queries to go. xx

Hi Julybride40,

I haven't done anything special to get her to reply. She has emailed me 3 times now. I send her an email with questions I have and then she replies about a week or 2 later. If I have sent 3 mails in that time she will respond to all queries in one email. But it has been just the initial sorting out of date and venue so she has had to respond because it needed confirming. I bet if I emailed her about something like reception options she will take ages to get back to me because mine is not until November. I agree that they should be in touch with you with yours being in July.

I presume you have the correct email address as you say you have had 1 email. The only other thing I can suggest is that when she emailed me the first time to introduce herself she requested that all emails have certain details in the subject. This helps her to find our file and make sure everything is added and also to see date of wedding. Have you got this as your subject:

Wedding [package type i.e Unforgettable] [wedding date] [travel agency name] [booking reference number] [brides full name] & [grooms full name] [hotel staying in abbreviated]

e.g Wedding unforgettable, 1st April 2012, Thompson - T231RTY, Mary Smith & Peter Andrew Jones GBT

Try this if you have not already. She can see your wedding date then.

Hi all,

39 days til departure, this is getting real!

Can anyone give me tips on tipping? I haven't been to an all-inclusive resort before and wondering how much cash I should bring per week. We'll be there for 2 weeks total. We're planning on doing excursions during our honeymoon week, but will mostly charge excursions to our credit cards. How much tip do we leave per day for maid service, and how much tip do we give our waiters/bartenders etc...

Thanks!!

Hi AD2012 and Flowerchild23, I'm also a May 2012 bride for GBP Coba. Maybe I will see you both of your weddings, as we're staying a 2nd week.

Maria is also my WC and she has been very slow at responding. I was hoping she would be more attentive in March but I'm still waiting between 2-3 weeks to get a response. I've been emailing Felix, the Guest Services Manager, and having him send Maria reminders to contact me. Felix is pretty good at responding the same day.

Everything will be OK! Your wedding day will go off without a hitch!

I'm trying to stay positive, but I keep having this overwhelming feeling the day isn't going to be at all what I envisioned it to be...

Holy cow!  You girls are SOOO close to your wedding!  Eek!  How exciting!!

Tipping, totally up to you.  I tip the fridge dude $2 or $1 depending on how well he listens :)  I ask for extra candy bars and chips, and I specify that I like Snickers.  If he listens... I give him more because I appreciate it more.  That's what tipping is all about, after all :)

Fabric, I used a silky blend.  You can really use any kind that you want.  Organza will be more see through, but look flowy and beautiful.  Silk blend will be shiny and look substantial.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
