Hi,

We have booked the standard room in Tulum but our package tells us that we will be upgraded so do you or any other brides know if we will get the golden club?

Also which are the best rooms/villas in Tulum?

Where are the quietest pools (whole resort not necessarily in Tulum)?

Thanks

For golden club members, 65-67 are the best :)

I think I have read something about the kids club on here before but as it was not relevant to me I have overlooked it but one of my guests asked about it the other day and now I cannot find the posts.

Does anyone have any info about kids clubs i.e activities included, whether there is a charge, what age children they take, how long do they look after the children for, can children be left so the parents can have a break etc etc. Any info welcome. We are staying in the Tulum section.

Thanks in advance.

Sorry, I've never stayed in Tulum so I can't comment on the best rooms.

But the quietest pools are the jacuzzi pools.  They are tucked away (especially Akumal's) and have their own bar!  They are pretty much awesome!!

Sure do!  I just haven't posted it yet.  I'm still working on organizing those photos.

As for the kids club, I only have pictures.  Sorry!  I'll double check in the brochures that I brought home, but I don't think it has any information in it.

An internet search gave me this:

The facilities of a Mini-Club called "El Principito" for the enjoyment and healthy entertainment of children. The kid's club is located next to the amphitheatre and is situated on the beach.  The club is located near the central swimming-pool. It has furniture designed for children, and a wide variety of games and activities. The entire area is properly enclosed for children's safety and has shaded areas to protect them from the Caribbean sun. The multi-lingual staff is fluent is several languages.

The club also organizes evening activities including a children's show. Use of the children's club is subject to specific rules that parents must respect to guarantee their children's complete safety.

(applicable ages: 4- to 12-years old).

Hey, I am getting married at the Akumal hammocks location and was wondering if anyone would recommend drinks at the beach bar following the ceremony vs. the lobby bar? It seems like the lobby bar is more popular..is that because it isn't as hot? Any advise is appreciated! Thanks!

Thank you again for your help. I do not know what us GBP brides to be would do without you. x

Me and my hubby to be will be seeking out the Akumel jacuzzi pool then when we want to enjoy some time to ourselves away from our guests.

Which beach bar?  There is an Akumal beach bar over by the swimming area, but the only place to sit is lounge chairs.  The 24 snack bar has a bar, but it's plastic chairs, sandy, and pretty loud (right next to the activity pool).  Not necessarily a problem, but your guests will be dressed up, so I think that's why they prefer the "classier" bar.  It feels more like a wedding???  Plus it's definitely not in the sun, which helps too!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
