Gran Bahia Principe Akumal/Tulum/Coba - POST HERE!

Recommended Posts

These were good questions to ask aquamaniac as I had been thinking about a few of them as well... specifically the cocktail hour and the DJ. And of course, thanks again Trisha for helpful answers! I can't wait to see all your photos.

Oh my gosh, you are so amazing! Thank you so much!

Do they put any table cloths on for the weddings? Or should I bring something?

Hey,

I have been addicted to this site for sometime so I figured it was time to create an account and post something! All of the information on here has been such a huge help!! My fiance and I have booked our wedding at the Gran Bahia Principe Akumal for the week of November 18-15th, 2012. We are still waiting to hear back from someone at the resort to confirm a wedding date/location. I emailed Paloma Flores about two weeks ago and have not heard anything. Does anyone have the email for anyone else i can contact?! I know Paloma is technically not the wedding coordinator? Any help is appreciated!!!!! Thanks!!

There were actually no weddings while I was down there at Akumal or Tulum, so I'm not 100% positive, however at the wedding in Coba they did indeed put a white table cloth down.

I actually am pretty sure that for dinners in all the ala carte restaurants they put down white table cloths and the oil lamps.  This was just taken during the breakfast buffet, so not as "fancy."

Sorry I can't confirm :(

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
