ah those pics look amazing Crystalz; you look beautiful!! can wait to hear your full review.

This may be a bit over the top to ask but, I found a lovely pic on the internet of a beach wedding and there was a pink isle runner with petals on the beach? I'll try and attach it. Has anyone done this? or know if the resort has? or how we could do it? otherwise, we'll stick with the petals.

The resort only has a red runner - But I bet if you looked online you could find a pink one and bring it yourself...they'll for sure provide the rose petals if you ask for them

Ladies,

Thank you all for the comforting advice! I have since gotten in contact with someone (Maria) and our wedding date (October 12, 2012) has been booked....yaaay!!!

Few questions for those of you that have previously traveled:

  • Can you describe or have any pictures of the Mediterraneo restaurant? Based off the menu, this is where my FI and I booked our dinner reception since it best suits our guests dietetic needs; however, we couldn't find any pictures online of what the restaurant looked like.
  • Out of the choices they give you for the wedding cake, which is the best out of the 3 leches, vanilla and raspberry?? I believe I read several reviews that the 3 leches was excellent, so this is what I went with, but I'm just curious as vanilla and raspberry sounds enticing as well.
  • I thought the resort required you to put down a 10% deposit towards your wedding package upon booking; however, Maria hasn't requested anything as of yet other than a booking number and some other information. Should I be concerned that our date isn't set in stone, or is it nothing to worry about at the moment?

I appreciate all of your help and advice.

Also, I got the date and time I wanted, and only booked 9 months before my wedding, so for those of you stressing whose weddings are over a year away, your dates should be fine, :)  and take it from a stressed out person as myself right now, with one month to go - enjoy the planning! It really is a pretty simple process. And don't stress if you don't hear from the wedding coordinators for a few weeks when you wedding is so far in the future. I would go weeks without hearing, but now I hear every other day or so, and they really are on top of the game, and have everything under control!

Happy planning!

Jemma, that looks beautiful!  I'd be really careful though.  It's hard enough to walk in the sand, but then you add a fabric runner and it might be even worse.  You would definitely have to be barefoot.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
