Recommended Posts

Oh good! I am wondering what our luggage limit is for our airline. we booked online contintental website but are flying with united airlines. I'm hoping I can fit all my stuff in my suitcase and my fiances, then little stuff in my carry on. Luckily, my parents are taking my wedding dress with them when they go a week earlier.

I would like to bring a photographer, but my FI is still on the fence, so we will probably bring one cheesy.gif, but as is said above we would have them as a "guest" to our wedding.

My finace's cousin is a photographer and I wouldnt mind bringing her to take our pictures. Thats a good idea with the duffle bags.  Thanks again for all the information you are the best Bride Buddycheesy.gif.

For those brides who have gotten married here, did you have them steam your dress before hand? I emailed the WC to see if they can do it and she said that they can take it somewhere to have it done, I am just wondering if anyone else did this, I will have it done before we leave but i am just wondering in case i need it done again if anyone had it done

Can anyone give some advice on what the heck I am supposed to do with the Mexican marriage certificate in Canada? And FYI- they put the wrong name on the envelope AND on the marriage certificate- says my husband is married to a Alyson Jane Croft (which is NOT my name). For this reason ALONE I wouldn't recommend GBP- serious ERROR!!!!

Oh that's sad!  That IS a serious error!  How sucky!  I'm sorry!!

As for the dress steaming I didn't bother.  The humidity pretty much took all of mine out, but then again it was just my "under" layer as the top was lace so it didn't wrinkle anyways.

My ceremomy was at 3pm and it actually worked out quite well.  My guests were able to go back to their rooms and freshin up for the 5pm cocktail hour and we had plenty of time for photographs which was really important to me (I'm sure you can guess why!!)

When we stayed at the resort we went to Tulum for our Trash the Dress and fell in love.  If we go back, we're going there to hang out of the day.  AMAZING.

The only real excursion Shawn and I did was the Xel-ha.  We swam with the dolphins.  It was so awesome and since only Shawn and I went, it was great to have a little time away, just us.

The favors I gave were my OOT bags.  Guests got the bag, a custom mug (which EVERYONE used), miscellaneous crap, and the essentials.  I also did photo frame place cards.

Uh oh!!! What is your name? I'm just wondering so I can see what they were going off of to get a mistake like that. My last name everyone ALWAYS spells wrong and my fiances last name is a little different too :s

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
