On what you have to book you seem like you have pretty much got a lot sorted......music is another thing, you need five songs....one for bridesmaids, one for bride, two for signing registers & one to walk back out....we actually had 6 as hubbie wanted to walk in to a particular song.  Also have you chose your cake yet?  I originally chose 3 tier chocolate however after getting in resort & tasting their chocolate cake at the many buffets it wasn't that great so changed to the vanilla & honestly it was one of the best cakes I ever tasted!!....mmmmm!!....hahahaha!!

Hi Angie,

I agree with all brides and brides-to-be, great video !

Hi Sunshine,

I think (not 100% sure because i'll be in the Akumal section) that Tulum has only 3 wedding venues : Gazebo, Gardens and the beach location with dead palapas...

Because of the buggy (sorry for my poor english), the Akumal beach location isn't so far...

Hi Crystalz,

I don't have an answer to your question but I never heard anybody who had to pay for their own fabric ! I hope your WC is wrong.

For my part.... I'm lost. The groom and I aren't able to agree on the reception site... so that I did some research into off-site locations :-(

I never read someone here complaining about the decoration of the restaurants or tables... I must be the only one :-( Bridezilla moment ? Really not crazy about green chairs with floral print, blue plates with sunflowers,... Sorryyyyyyyyy !

I asked my WC for the private poolside options. She only came back with the mixed grill dinner. Does anyone have more info or a review about this option ?

Last question: I think we have the possibility to choose from their list of talecothes, chair covers flowers,... but do you have this possibility only when you get there, at the meeting or before per email ?

Sorry again to complain. And thanks in advance !

Andrée

Sorry, girls I have another question!!

For those of you who got married legally there... Were you able to get the marriage certificate/license translated into english? If so, did it cost you money and how much? Were they able to do it in Mexic? Did you have to get it done at home? I'm confused becase I was told if I paid $20 USD, they would translate the certificate into english after its apostilled etc. But now I'm being told they do not do that at all... Well how on earth am I going to be able to change my name when I get it in the mail if its in spanish?? I heard it's very difficult to change your name when a certificate is in another language... Somebody please clarify what it is I have to do or how much it'll cost me lol pleeeeaassse !!!

I thought that when they told me two songs for signing however it does take longer than 3 mins of one sone....bride & groom have to sign about 5 papers each, then do your thumb prints....they stop to take photos of this then all your witnesses have to come up one at a time & sign two papers so it really does need two songs xx

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
