Gran Bahia Principe Akumal/Tulum/Coba - POST HERE!

Recommended Posts

Hi,

We are getting married at the Hammock Site...and I am still working on figuring out the rest of the details. Depending on how many people actually RSVP, we are deciding between the dinner that comes with the package vs. private outdoor dinner and reception. I did book DJ Bijan for the reception. I am trying to decide what kind of music we want for the ceremony. I am interested in the mariachi band for the cocktail hour too...

I will be at the Bahia the same week as you! I will have to check out your wedding - from a respectful distance of course! What time is your ceremony on the 3rd? You must be getting so excited!

I wish you all the best on your wedding day!

Cheers,

Sunnyee

Thank you!!!

For those Cdn brides, my TA told me yesterday (2 weeks before we go) that my civil ceremony in Mexico will not be legal here in Canada.  I am getting all the bloodwork and everything done so I can't understand how it won't be recognized here in Canada but she was adamant.  Any recent brides out there that might be able to clarify this for me.

Hey girls,

How was your weekend?  I've been in the process of deciding on bridesmaid dresses.  The bridal salon places tell me that I need to order the bridesmaid dress now, since my wedding is in June.  But I've had a hard time deciding.  I think I've narrowed it down to two, but I'm not sure if they are the right color or not. So now I need to go back in the store and look at the swatches again.  I wish they just had the dresses in the colors and sizes I want, so it wouldn't be so hard to imagine. cheesy.gif

This is the dress I think I want, but I prefer a brighter coral color:

I saw online a darker color called watermelon, but I haven't seen the color in person.

Hi, This probably isn't much help but they're both lovely colours - gorgeous dress! Personally I prefer the darker of the two - shows up less marks, generally more slimming & will go fantastically with any colour flowers/accessories. Hope that helps! Gemma x

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
