Sunnyee: I would love to see wedding/reception/ceremony pictures...

And anyone else, if you have any to share- that would be awesome...especially those at Akumal weddings!

I would love to see any pictures of past brides ceremony set up at the hammocks as well =)

Does anybody know if they still have the Mexican fiesta on Thursday nights?

Anybody who wants to buy cheap lanterns should check out this seller on ebay. I bought just 2 to check out the colour and quality and they are great!!!! I only paid a couple dollars for each of them

Hey Melady24:  What is Vista?  Is that a company and what do they sell?  When I think of Vista, I think of the Microsoft Vista operating system. But I don't think that's what you mean?? haha

Thanks Julie for sharing the information about the paper lanterns.  What colors are you planning to use?  Are you coordinating the color with your bridesmaid dresses?  I'm planning to get coral colored bridesmaid dresses, so I'm not sure which color paper lantern would look good.

I'm sort-of planning getting married in Coba late December, mostly because I've stayed there a fev times and there will be very few susprises. But, I was wondering if anybody knows whether it is possible to have reception dinner on the beach and not in the restaurant? Or possibly on the pierce? (Just dinner at the beach is on my husband's must happen list).

Julie, thanks for sharing the ebay website!

This might be an wedding-obsessed question but does anybody know the dimensions of the table at the Tulum Beach? I'm thinking of making these flower garlands to decorate on the table. I would have emailed my WC but it takes a while to get my questions answered.

Thanks in advance!

Hey guys,

I was thinking of making these petal garlands from the martha stewart website to decorate the table on the Tulum Beach.  Any other Tulum brides out there with ideas on how to decorate the ceremony site?

I was never given an option for dinner on the beach...but if I'm sure anything is possible.

My colours are tangerine and fuchsia (sp?). Bridesmaids are wearing really bright tangerine and going to add alot of fuchsia(chair ribbon, flowers, decor)

So my lanterns are those colours and I went with the 12inch, seemed the perfect size.

You could do coral and white, I think it would look great. Im really not sure where they are going to put these lanterns, but she said to bring them.

@Julie2011 I know it's not in the options. I'm just thinking about where physically we can put the tables etc. And what will the price tag on that be. That is if they will be willing to do that at all. The only place I can think of is the Coba side, by the beach volleyball nets.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
