I am quite a bit shorter than my other half so really want to wear shoes with a bit of a heel, how did any of you guys find walking in the sand?? I know this may seem a daft question but I need a bit of height!!!! From the pictures it looks it is quite a way to walk to the 'alter' so there is no red carpet to help you walk on the sand.

The gazebo on the Tulum side is a stone pathway... I wore a small heel!!!

The Akumal hammocks location is all sand once you get off the road. And yes, it is quite a little bit of a walk. If you wear heels you will end up taking them off after a couple steps. I wore flip flops and I was ready to ditch them and go barefoot in no time! I'm alot shorter than DH (he's 6'3" and I'm 5'5") and we had no problems with the height in pics and stuff. In fact it just makes me look more petite than I really am! cheesy.gif

      Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010.       Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations.
