yup 85 sounds about right. When I got married in 08 it was $85... and yes, I thought it was worth it. Although unconventional on how they got my hair to the position it was in, it held up ALL day and then I was able to use it for my TTD the next day as well.

Just make SURE you bring pictures along. They do not speak English very well at all and so communication is very difficult.

When I found out how much it was going to be to go to the spa for my hair as well as my bridesmaids, I nearly fainted. lol.

Thank heavens my FI thinks on his feet. Didn't even occur to me that we have 2 stylists in our guest list coming with us! He just asked them if they'd do our hair and they were thrilled... he surprised me with it. What a relief!

We're leaving in 11 days! eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

I was orginally going to get one of my gf's to do all our hair..(she's a hair dresser) But then she went got pregnant, and now can't fly..sad.gif That's the third person who got preggers, and couldn't come.. one was a bridsmaid, and the other, the MOH!!! haha

I'm scared to pay that kind of money, and it not look good, or not hold the curl.. I want my hair half up, and curled. I guess, I just need them to know that my hair is naturally curly, and goes frizzy really easy!! lol

I'm going over to one of my bridesmaids house next week, to play around with it.. Hopeing for the best!! I totally trust her, so I think that might be the best bet!!

Good thing my sister in law is a make up artist!!! haha

We got our marriage license as well as our legal ceremony is in 10 days here at home. Now we're officially ALLOWED to be married! Wahoo!

FI also got me some blue ribbon for my corset back in my dress... I thought it might look cool to have that as a contrast. He went into Fabricland for me. THAT is LOVE!

quick question about ceremony music for those who brought their own.

i was told we need 4 songs for the ceremony...but i didn't think about what would be played before or after? we are most likely not having live music.

do they supply the music, or should i bring that too?

thanks!

When paying for the booze for the receptions, pick the leat expensive option. They used a bar by the pool for us, so even though we bought the least expensive package, they still made us different drinks cause they had the booze there. Dont spend money on the other packages. There are other bars close too!

I used five songs. One for when my guests were seated. Everyone hung out at the 24 hour snack bar until the coordinator told them to walk down... and so they played that song and everyone sat down.

Do I think it was necessary... no. I don't think anyone paid any attention!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
