We used somberos from the hacienda in our wedding photos. They were like $10 a piece I think... but they gave us 6 of them to use for the evening. We returned them and gave them a $2 tip. They were happy.

Have you looked into asking your airline if you can store the dress in the employee closet(Not sure what the exact term is) that's what I'm going to try. My dress isn't extremely huge so I was going to put my daughters dress in the bag with it.

I'm bringing chair sashes down... but I was wondering if they supply the white chair covers? I've seen pics of chairs with sashes but NO covers as well as chairs with sashes over the covers. If they provide the white covers is there a fee? Do they put the sashes on for you? Mine just arrived in a box and are wrinkled... will I need to steam them or do you think they'll be ok?

Thanks!

Congrats to all those who recently got married.

I had my dress steamed and they did a great job. We flew Cont. and they put my dress in the employee closet without any problems.

We used white chair covers and they were provided by the resort.

We bought maracas as gifts for our guests I think they were about a $1 each we did negotiate the prices though. Our guests loved them.

When I flew to Mexico from Chicago, they didn't have an employee closet. So my dress went above the seats. Worked just fine.

The white chair covers were included and free.

Love you avitar picture Jen!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
