Gran Bahia Principe Akumal/Tulum/Coba - POST HERE!

Recommended Posts

You know, I never thought of it that way...just habit that when it is the service industry to tip them something. FI and I will have to talk about this and come up with something.

Wendy, did you take down things for the staff to tip with like crayons and stuff? I did that in Cuba, but never thought of it for Mexico. I kind of like the idea - your impressions - would this be something good to leave for the maids? Crayons, colouring books etc?

Hi ladies!

My fiance and I are planning on getting married at the GBP Tulum. I was just wondering, as i've looked all over their website and cannot find it anywhere, how do I contact the wedding coordinator there??

Any advice/suggestions would be great! I need to get on this!

Thanks,

chelly

Just got back from my wedding and honeymoon. I got married on Feb.4th at Akumal. I have to say Eugenia did an incredible job. There is not one thing that i would have changed. I was married on the beach, went to Dolce Vita for dinner and then had a pool side reception. The whole day was stress free and absolutely beautiful. If anyone has any questions, I will be more than happy to answer them

Congratulations and welcome back!!!

Did you happen to use the resort photographer? I know there has been a lot of questions concerning that lately, and it'd be nice to see some examples if you did!

No i was one of the lucky ones that had Claudia booked before they changed the policy and fought to keep her when they weren't going to let us. However, the resort photographers complete photo sessions everyday on the beach with couples and walk around with various animals that you can take pictures with. I saw their work and one of the couples that came to our wedding had a photo session done, and they were very happy with the quality of photos.

I would love to see your pictures too. I am also one of the lucky brides that is allowed to us Erick (form Claudia's company) because I had my money down before the policy change. :)

Well guys I leave in two days....no wait...one now! It is 4 am after all:)

I am pretty excited...been talking to Claudia a fair bit last couple of days....I get to use Citlalli - same thing - deposit in before the change. It is good to hear people like the resort photographer...some of my guests were talking about doing family photos.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
