We go back to LA often and I LOVE carne asada too! lol
LOL the carne asada pic is for an activist group out here trying to save taco trucks, LC Rachel hipped me to it...they are trying to take them away!

Anyway, I agree with LC Rachel about the Barcelo in Mismaloya. One of my BMs stayed there, I have pics if you're interested. It's on a beautiful bay/cove.

Yes, I've spoken with Selma. She's arranged a group rate for us if we decide to stay there. It seems really nice but I'm worried about the cost for our guests. It's kinda pricey and ideally I don't want to exclude anyone because I picked a resort that was too expensive... and I'd like to stay in the same resort as everyone else.

Yes , I feel the same but our guests will be spread around the marina hotels so at least my family and some friends will stay with us..

Hi,

My thoughts...

I have just decided on the Buenaventura hotel for our stay and wedding day. I loved the look of Velas and have visited it (not stayed) and it is beautiful but I couldn't get a response out of them. I sent several emails and even left a phone msg but with no luck. This didn't sit well with me; couldn't imagine the next few months of planning my wedding with their apparent lack of interest. And...its pretty pricey! Dreams came in a close 2nd but I chose Buena as its much smaller and I wanted a more intimate resort.

Hope this helps :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
