How long did your guests stay?

Recommended Posts

I was wondering how long did your guests stay at the resort? Did you ask that they not stay after a certain point so that you could continue on with your honeymoon? Or did are you going somewhere else after the wedding for the honeymoon?

If you asked them to not stay after a certain date, how did you let them know?

Lets say your wedding is on a Saturday and the guests arrive earlier in the week, do you ask them to leave or move to another location on Sunday?

Any advice would be appreciated. Not sure what we are doing as of yet.

We went to another hotel for our honeymoon starting the night after the wedding. The longest people stayed was about 5 days after. I have to admit, we kind of missed them though...knowing that they were all together at the hotel and we were alone. But we got over it quickly :)

I don't think there is any nice way to ask people to leave by a certain date, sorry.

We are moving to another hotel after our wedding night. Some people are staying in Cabo up to 5 days after the wedding. We wanted our friends & family to make a vacation out of this, so we really encourage people to stay. While we will go off to our honeymoon hotel after the wedding, we still plan on hanging out some with the people that stick around. My BF's 30th birthday is happening while we are there, so we will definitely go hoot & holler with her.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
